It would really be better if people posted the capacity with the battery fully charged, because giving the capacity at any other battery level isn't reporting the true capacity.

I don't think the capacity is always the same.
If the battery is not well calibrated it can gives you less amp that's why everyone has different ma.

Sent from my C6602 using xda premium
the battery cap difference is shown only because it was drained faster/slower, but "batt cap" is always the same
unless old and worn down battery

"Battery capacity" is a measure (typically in Amp-hr) of the charge stored by the battery, and is determined by the mass of active material contained in the battery. The battery capacity represents the maximum amount of energy that can be extracted from the battery under certain specified conditions. However, the actual energy storage capabilities of the battery can vary significantly from the "nominal" rated capacity, as the battery capacity depends strongly on the age and past history of the battery, the charging or discharging regimes of the battery and the temperature.

the above text is copied from pveducation.org and me as electrician (tho i work other stuff) can confirm it

My 3 weeks old XZ shows 2370000 with 38%.

After screen off/screen on for 2 minutes it shows 2366000 and 37%.

"Good, no need to replace it" - couldn`t do that anyway :D

Wow mine says 1018000 and "Bad, please replace it!"

Wtf? I've only had this phone since May and the battery is already gone? How do I replace it?

Really? Is there anything special on your use pattern that might explain that, e. g. let the phone run out of battery everyday?

No, the battery usually goes down to about 50-70% before I put it on to charge. This sucks!
But can you say it's not behaving as expected? How long it takes to consume that 30-50%? A day? Because it could be just a problem on the evaluation on the battery status.

I deduct that it's the first time you are checking this, so you don't have any comparison point in the past, right?

Well I have noticed the battery has been draining a lot faster than usual the past couple of weeks. Before that I could consistently go up to 2 days without charging. Now my battery would die in less than half a day.

You can check the real battery capacity packed in your device by typing *#*#7378423#*#* in your phone dialer. Then, Service tests -> Battery Health test.

My 2 day old Xperia Z reports 2370000 uAh which is 2370mAh, marginally higher than the specifications.

Go give it a try ;)
Quoting myself after some months, it now shows 2210000 uAh. Some degradation as it ages.
