Question Choosing your recents launcher

Hi guys, running root on my P7P. Using nova as my home launcher for years now but my recents when using it are not as good as with the stock launcher. Is it possible to force the recents to use the stock launcher if you're rooted? Thanks

Can you point what is the difference
I use nova as well.
Tried with setting Pixel launcher as default home. Can't figure out any difference in Recents
