free one on top of the tab? I got one because I was part of the Pilot version but you have to pay for it. @499

No it should be free for those who went to I/O. The emails has not been sent out yet. (at least not for me.)

I did however get an email to buy one earlier today since I was a part of the pilot program.

Nah I haven't gotten mine yet either. I did get one of those invites to the "early access" but it's still 499$. Looking forward to when we get our I/O emails.

I'm pretty sure they haven't started going out yet. I'm guess we'll see them at some point next week or maybe the week after. can't wait! do you guys think it will be some kind of voucher that we take into a store, or what? I'm hoping I can get it mailed to me since I live in canada(where chromebooks will not be sold)

I'm waiting on mine too. I assume we'll hear about it before the public launch, which is coming soon. Haven't got my email yet.

I doubt they'll give us a voucher. AFAIK Google has always mailed hardware and has never given vouchers, but who knows?

I doubt they'll give us a voucher. AFAIK Google has always mailed hardware and has never given vouchers, but who knows?

I'll probably pee my pants a little if there's a laptop shaped boxed on my doorstop within the next week.

I recibe the mail today, but just send me to a preorder in glit.com, but when i access say sold out I saw the mail to late.

I better wait for the galaxy 10.1, because want a free chromium model but buy one, no way better buy other things.

No info from Google yet. I guess that June 15.. Just wondering will they send us the wifi version or 3g version + free services.

when I was in the IO, someone told me that it would be a voucher since he said that Google didn't want to do the distribution anymore.. Let's hope that they would send us a voucher and I can pick one up from a local bestbuy...

I'm pretty sure we will get the Wifi version's as we all got the samsung verizon wifi hotspot's - useless to me as I'm in the UK but I've a 3 MiFi anyways.

My address has changed since I attend Google IO, I just hope that they do not send it without any notification email first since they did that with CR-48

If you need to update your address you may do so by using the “Access My Registration” link that can be found in both your confirmation and bar code emails. From there you can log into your registration record and make any necessary edits.

It looks like lots of people have received their emails and ordered already, but Amazon shows 4-6 weeks delivery.

I still haven't gotten my email, and I've checked the registration site with no obvious way to order. I'm hoping they're just delaying some of the emails until Amazon / Samsung can catch up.

I placed my order last friday and amazon confirmed that my stimate shipping date is 8/3 -8/10. I even asked the IO whether we could exchange the vouchers from amazon to bestbuy. Unfortuately, the answer is no. I guess that we just need to wait a bit... Cannot complain much for freebie...

If you dont get an email about your chromebook, you can contact the IO and they do reply fair quickly..

Thanks for the suggestion. After quite a few emails, I think it's cleared up. They had problems with the barcode reader when it registered at IO, and had to manually print my badge. I got the tablet and hotspot at the show with no issues, but their records showed that I was not eligible for the chromebook because I didn't show up.

Please step to the back of the line.
