Chromecast and Moto G5 Plus

Hi. I have Moto G5 Plus and I'm going to buy Chromecast. I have 2 questions:
1. When I cast movie from YouTube or Netflix, does screen on my Moto have to be turned on or I can turn off screen to save battery?
2. Battery. Does casting Tales much battery from Moto G5 Plus (3000 mAh) while it streams for 2 hours? 5%, 10%?
