Hi,

Back up everything you need first.
It is probably better to format it on your PC if you can.
Make a select all/copy/paste to a folder on your PC.
That way you keep everything .
Format to FAT 32,and replace your important docs, pics, music, films, etc.
Put back in your phone, and android will replace all the files it needs.
Voila.

:)

Hi,

Yes,the nandroid backups you have done will get wiped if you format the card.
They are in a folder called "clockworkmod"
These will all get saved to your PC when you plug the card into the PC,press select all/copy/paste to a folder on your PC.

Can I save my back ups by using titanium back up?are only by the previously way that you just mentioned?so basically whatever sd card is in your phone at the moment that you are doing a back up the back ups are saved to that particular sd card only?Because I only backed up roms, kernels when I had my 8 Gig sd card in my phone.I didn't do any back ups when I had my 2 Gig sd card in so since I'm wanting to clear my 2 Gig sd card completely nothin needs to be backed up because I never backed up any roms, etc with that sd card in my phone.so I go to go then just hit format sd card sibce I never did any back ups on it?Is this all correct? :)

If you decide to wipe sd card make sure your not on an aosp rom or aokp there is a bug which makes your device bricked for good... And just to be on the safe side back it up on the pc first and go ahead

Yes it can be done get on a sense rom and boot into recovery and wipe sd card but I think it will make you loose recovery not sure tho someone confirm before you go ahead..

Don't rush mate let's just wait for someone to confirm just in case..

Hi, you can format the sd card without booting recovery at all. Just go to the settings, then storage, and then format the sd from there. No worries of formating the other partitions.

Also, if you use file managers to back up your stuff, make sure you get it on another sd card, or the phone itself. If not, you will just lose it when you format

Hope I've helped you
