In Oreo you could click on storage and clean the cache but that seems to have been removed in Pie. Is there a way to do it? I found that clearing the cache on a regular basis improved my device battery life.

Well I dig up and found that after new update oneplus 3t by default is clearing cache just go to settings > system > Recent App Management > Now select your desired cache clearing method B/w normal clear and deep clear if this answer help don't be shy to give me a thank of appreciation...Cheers it seems quite a nifty app.

Yup there will be no background processes when you will be not using your phone or in particular not using that app it will kill that process...Not sure what the difference between the two options entail. The second one just sounds like everything would stop working.
