It's normal if you point it on something dark n reflective surface u can reproduce this effect. U cant see it with naked eye but camera sensor picks it up. It byproduct of laser autofocus . In my opinion it's totally fine and this is hard to reproduce in normal photography scenario. In day to day usage it should not bother anyone untill someone is really fond of clicking pics of blank screens in dark.

The blue dot has also shown up on some of my photos. If conditions are right, I would think I can reproduce it. I agree with the above, it seems like dark conditions with a reflective surface. Most of my photos are fine.

dark conditions - I think you are right! But to me it seems it has nothing to do with reflective or non reflective surface. As I can reproduce it on my couch as well as on my white wall (low light indoor conditions)

I'm still having the same issue. After turning off laser autofocus in the developer options, I no longer have this blue dot. I am wondering what I am missing out on by having the laser autofocus off though.
