I have tried this on multiple occasions. Yet to get it to work. Was going to give up, but embarrassingly caved to ask for help. Whenever I place it in place of the current bootanimation.zip in the system/media folder, change the permissions to
oo-
o--
o--
and reboot, I get nothing. It shows the Google logo and then a black screen until it has started up. Running MIUI Rom, Netarchy Nexus kernel, and have Root Explorer. I also tried placing it in data/local and still nothing. Any help is appreciated. I have been trying the black animation the most. Also tried the basic one. And have attempted flashing the zip one using ROM Manager. Is anyone running MIUI with this?

what device are u using? the rom etc. so i can help you better.

Edit: I got it to work. Not sure if I did anything different. I did change to Netarchy CFS rather than BFS. Either way, it is working. Thanks!

Just used the recovery version on my fascinate, it works but it appears in a quite small box instead of the whole screen.

Hi, kind of a noob to boot animations. Awesome animation! Thanks! Will this work on a HVGA 320x480 screen? CDMA Hero, CM7. If not, is it as simple as extracting your .zip, resizing all of the frames and re-zipping it?

Worked Evo 4g

I was able to install the "iphonefunnyflash.zip" using Clockworkrecovery, but I had to boot into an alternate version "2.5.0.7"

It was super laggy the first time I booted, but now its running great!

WOKRS ON EVO 4G!! awesome boot, though the sound does not work. I put the audio file in the same folder but also noticed that there is a separate folder for audio files as well. Should I have put it in there?

I've got an Evo running CM7 and of course clockwork. How do I set this as my boot animation? I'm a bit of an android noob, but I've been hacking WebOS since the original Pre so I'm capable, just confused. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Works on rooted DroidX with GingerBlur.

Not full screen but close enough.

The clockworkmod zip doesn't work on the newest version of it 3.0+ so I went into ROM Manager and flashed an old recovery (2.5.0.7) and then flashed the zip. Worked great, love the animation.

black-bootanimation works great on OG Droid running GPA14 Gingerbread....but having the same problem with the sound not playing...any suggestions?...Thanks!!
