I only see one factorykeysetting..??
I haven't touched anything.
Odexed, all latest gapps, at&t
Clean install
Yup, delete it. You'll notice if you look in settings->apps theres two and if you go to battery stats and click on android system it lists two. I haven't tried hunting down the other one but deleting the one in system/app helped my battery a bit :)

Thanks for the thread, - lots of useful info!

There are two copies of "factorykeystring" in the stock TW Rom as well - not sure why this would help battery life or be a good idea?

Battery life is definitely decreased over stock TW. Running odex version on ATT.

Almost everything works perfectly. Cons for me are mainly the calendar, battery life and camera app in comparison to stock TW.

With car home ultra in dock mode, the home button goes to normal home screen instead of back to car home ultra - likely needs to be fixed for 4.3 (was broken in 4.2 for awhile as well).

I started to have an issue where I couldn't make backups with twrp when using this rom. Then I installed auto loki recovery and the back up I made then worked. So installed another 4.2.2 rom to flash back to twrp in goo so I could wipe system. I then flashed and wiped again before I was able to get settings to stick and backups to be successful. In the auto loki recovery you can't wipe system so when I flashed a new rom old system files weren't getting over written like for ex. The build prop. When I flashed slim rom over 4.3 the dpi was still 480 when slims build prop has 361.

I had also seen android os on the stock battery stats but checking better battery stats didn't show that problem. And battery life seemed plenty normal. I'm left to think it's a glitch or bug. This was on odex

Super issue with the battery for myself. Last night after installing, my phone was at ~15% battery. Left it plugged in over night, and woke up to it at ~60%. Didn't think much of it, it was mentioned in the thread it could take some time to settle, and may take a bit to charge at first.

Came home at the end of my day today, with it at 10%, and plugged it in after work. Phone managed to drain and die, while plugged in...

Battery issues have been reported, yours is a bit extreme
Were you charging via USB or wall charger when this happened? I have noticed myself USB charging barely works and wall charging is fairly slow the first 1 or 2 times.

Side note I have recently posted a MIUI port which has great battery life i recommend trying it you don't want to give this one another go :)

You did the Google Play flash to fix the Maps drain, right? Also, I got rid of that Battery Guru program... that was draining mine when the phone was "asleep".

After a couple days, it is just fine.

Good luck!

Have you honestly achieved acceptable and normal battery life with this ROM?

I'm guessing no.
Its not fine after a couple of days even with all the "fixes".
I went back to 4.2.2 and am getting much better battery.
4.3 is still a beta

Thanks for the update. I had a similar experience. I just wasn't sure if anything had changed since I last used it.

Well, the image shows good battery life - out at least usable.

That said, when I long-pressed on the level to try to get the picture of when the system was asleep, etc., Settings FCed.

So, yrs it's in beta. But, for me, it is good.

I'm also having big issues with the battery. Usually lasted for 16-20 hours with 4.2.2. Now its empty in 8!

So when i get up at 7 am I have to charge in the middle if the day to get through.

The android system uses approx 70% of the battery. Have installed new play store and new maps app. Anybody got a good solution for this?

I'm trying juice defender now, and that will probably help. But I feel my phone is crippled without constant internet access.

PS: using odexed version

Maybe its an odex vs. Deodez thing. I only tried the odex 4.3 with horrible battery life
