Is it possible to switch from the Deodexed version to the Odexed version without resetting everything
Wipe system and you should be able to flash without a full full wipe

People reporting they have normal battery life: are you on odex or deodex?
Im on Deodexed
I'm also having big issues with the battery. Usually lasted for 16-20 hours with 4.2.2. Now its empty in 8!
So when i get up at 7 am I have to charge in the middle if the day to get through.
The android system uses approx 70% of the battery. Have installed new play store and new maps app. Anybody got a good solution for this?
I'm trying juice defender now, and that will probably help. But I feel my phone is crippled without constant internet access.
PS: using odexed version
+1
And, at the time I took the screenshot shown in my earlier post, I had used 2hrs38min screen time.
Again, I got rid of that Battery Guru app I had used successfully with TW.
This is a nice update to Android, for me.
Maybe its an odex vs. Deodez thing. I only tried the odex 4.3 with horrible battery life
I as well had horrible battery life on the Odex.
+1 for me on the Odex 4.3 as well, went back to 4.2.2
Ok so previous reports suggested Odex provided better battery life and working wallet and Deodex was the bad guy.
Now everyone is says Odex is terrible ?
I myself had sub-average to average battery on odex depending on the day
can we get some of you guy to test deodex instead and see if it truely does work any better and last any longer?

I have been using the deodexed version and I sometimes get full day but I have had some pretty bad days where Android OS is at like 80% with only an hour or so of screen on time

Odex vs non-odex shouldn't affect the battery life at all. Speed and customizability is what should be affected for sure though.

I agree, it shouldn't affect battery. I personally think the ROM just gives inconsistent battery life. And like a previous poster said, there's good days and bad.

Now if we could figure out what's causing the drain and just disable it, this would be one hell of a ROM. I'm looking forward to the official release.

I install this rom and startup in 5 seconds, very fast and stable, battery amazing with 70 apps installed, very recomendable, the only bug i found is no 3G network, works intermitenly, now switch back to stock rom and ok.. (apn check and ok)

Root working for me. But not imdb.

Have I miusundertood that this is the official 4.3 version? I though this was from the Google play I9505 version. I have problems believing that the phone Google sells in play store has all these bugs. Does anyone know of a better working 4.3 ROM? I really don't want to go back to TW. Looks like its running android 2.3.1

The phones from the play store are shipping with 4.2.2 I just got mine this week and it did not ship with 4.3. 4.2.2 is very good on this phone. Great speed, battery life, etc.

I still am having terrible battery life after close to six days with approximately two discharge cycles a day. I updated play store per op and also removed the keystring apk. Any ideas? I'm on odexed.

Have you been constantly installing apps in that period? I noticed that while I was installing apps and stuff, the battery was just like yours. When I stopped and waited 24h then it was awesome.

Was not but here's what I did and now seems great. Did a factory wipe reflashed os then loki then supersu as soon as phone came back up logged in began to auto restore apps when it finished I installed new play store and removed keystring apk from system. Since then battery has been great. So not totally sure but wiping and reflashing seemed to fix it.

Moto X is the supposed first public release of 4.3, according to a few tech news sites...
I'd say GE is after that, then Nexus, etc...

Just wanted to show all battery life on Odexed. Originally I had a ton of problems but after reflashing and updating play store immediately along with removing keystring from system apps been great. Op if this is wrong place feel free to move to non dev forum I looked couldn't find one.
