Bliss OS 11.14 x86_64 Generic - Kernel 4.19.122/5.10 - Mesa-20.1.10 - Release Date 2021-05-09
!! Please remember to not quote these update posts, or any of the OP's !!
We're returning with another round of updates to Bliss OS 11.x (Android 9) for PCs. These are FOSS updates only. GMS ones are on their way soon.
Updates:
- Finally fixed XVD nvme drive detection and install issues. Should install and boot up on many SBC's including Udoo Bolt.
- Fixed a number of other annoyances with system performance
- Gearlock & Magisk are not included in these FOSS builds this round, too many people had issues related to not reading. If you want Gearlock, you can install it yourself still by using the releases found on Supreme-Gamers
- Pulled in a number of pull-requests from the community for Device Model Name, HDMI Audio, and more.
- Updated external/ncurses, kernel-drivers, and also-utils to include alsa-mixer (alsa_alsamixer) now from the terminal.
- Updated graphics stack to be more inline with what Android-x86 is currently using. So updates to drm_hwcomposer, gbm, gralloc, etc.
- Boringdroid addons are disabled in these builds for now, but can be enabled. There are still some bugs with it though.
- likely a bunch more that I forgot.
Notes on sleep states:
- They work on most machines when using Vulkan mode or gbm_gralloc. DRM/GRALLOC mode results may vary.
To run in Vulkan mode:
- You will need to select Vulkan from advanced grub menu, or manually add "VULKAN=1" to Grub command line
Note on Magisk:
- You will NOT want to try and update Magisk using Magisk Manager, this will break root on our builds. We use Gearlock to update Magisk due to our unique filesystem requirements.
Builds Details:
- Bliss-v11.14--OFFICIAL-20210508-1013_x86_64_k-k4.19.122-ax86-ga-rmi_m-20.1.10_pie-x86_dgc-p9.0-11.13_ld-p9.0-x86_dg-_dh-blueprint_pie-x86_w45_2020_mg-p9.0-x86.iso
This build includes mesa-20.1.10, and comes with various updates to our FOSS apps suite (This also includes the first Astian FOSS app, Midori browser)
- Bliss-v11.14--OFFICIAL-20210507-2246_x86_64_k-google-5.10.32-lts-pledge-xanmod_m-20.1.10_pie-x86_dgc-p9.0-11.13_ld-p9.0-x86_dg-_dh-blueprint_pie-x86_w45_2020_mg-p9.0-x86.iso
This one includes all the same updates, but the kernel is newer, and due to a bug, will not install on MBR setups (create a small fat32 partition first, then the main install partition second to fake it)
Kernel work on this build is mostly from Supreme-Gamers dev @HMTheBoy154 , and includes full support for KVM/qemu. Make sure you all thank him for his work.
Native Bridge (Source: ChromeOS v13816.64.0_drallion):
Is pre-enabled in these builds. ARM/ARM64 support included
Known new issues:
- BoringdroidUI Navbar Plugins stop working on state change. We are looking into this issue still
- Sleep states might not be working right by default on non Vulkan & IA-Hardware-Composer builds (Still working on it). Some can cause SystemUI to restart (lockscreens won't be of any use due to this)
- Power buttons may still not work on a few machines.
- Some SDcards might not mount right. Please use SDCARD=/dev/sdx from Grub or manually mount from alt-f1 console
Changelog:
