Hi I'm more new and I have little experience. Twrp was successfully installed but twrp did not open during the reboot phase. (This may be because I formatted the device beforehand and the setup screen came up) I set up the device and activated usb debugging. How can I re-enter the twrp bootloader?

I have a New Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite and can't get TWRP installed. When I goto https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxytabs6litewifi.html to download the files it clearly says to install TWRP I need TWRP already installed. WTF?
Thank you for any and all help

TWRP Install (Requires TWRP 2.8.4 or higher already installed):
Download the latest TWRP image file (.img) from the download link and boot TWRP. Go to install and find and select the Images... button. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it. Choose recovery and swipe to flash.

I have updated the post to include the link to the Multidisabler from ianmacd

So I have not testing again yet... I am waiting the next update from samsung for testing it.. One question, If your stock rom you have already disabled the encryption when you will updating the stock with odin ( because the ota is broken ) You will need to flash again the Multidisabler in twrp before booting the rom and you will be fine, no data loss? If anyone has done this please let us know!

Unfortunately whenever you Flash Samsung firmware the data partition gets encrypted so the process has to be repeated, you will have to backup your data. I have been looking into building TWRP for the device with FBE support no luck get. I also compiled TWRP to try and prevent it from formatting data to Ext4 haven't tested yet.

Does anyone have a copy of this twrp? And if so would it work if I'm on lineage 18? My hope is to be able to use android checkra1n to jailbreak my pos iphone 6. Is there a way to do that with lineage recovery? because all i see is apply update from zip and adb for flashing. Thanx in advance.

Hello everyone,

sorry if I missed something. I read it's discontinued. But ... is there a reason not to use twrp-3.4.0-3-gta4xlwifi.img as a recovery when using LOS 18.1? Thank you.
Yes, it will eventually corrupt your /data partition because of FBE when installing an OTA with TWRP, please just stick to lineage recovery.

Impossible flashing TWRP on: AP_P610XXU2CUBB_CL21053626_QB38460872_REV00_user_low_ship_meta_OS11.tar.md5
(Android 11, SM-P610)

Yes: bootloader unlocked, usb debugging, Odin3_v3.14.4
In the TeamWin - TWRP website, the TWRP version for this model not found yet.
See the pics:

Some novel idea?

Did you read the thread's title?
It's discontinued because it softbricked people's devices when installing OTAs with TWRP, just use lineage recovery (and it tells you to do so on the wiki)
And btw your bootloader isn't fully unlocked (carefully read unlocking instructions again and you'll hopefully see why).

    FAQ

How to boot into Download mode
    1. Turn off the tablet
    2. Press and hold volume down and volume up
    3. Connect the tablet to a computer via USB cable

How to boot in recovery mode
    1. Turn off the tablet
    2. Press and hold volume up and power until bootloader logo appears

    How to flash TWRP
    1. Unlock the tablet's bootloader
      • Backup all your data as unlocking will factory reset your tablet!
      • Enable developer options and enable OEM unlock option there
      • Boot into download mode (you have to do it like described above, with adb reboot download the unlock option won't be available!)
      • Long press volume up to unlock your device
      • Go through initial setup again after unlock. You must connect to WiFi but can skip everything else.
      • Confirm that bootloader is actually unlocked (OEM unlock option grayed out and telling you it's already unlocked in developer options)
    2. Boot into download mode
    3. Flash twrp.img.tar (or twrp.img if you use heimdall) from TWRP download page using Odin/Heimdall.

    Thanks for making this possible.
I assume you have to rename the twrp.img to recovery.tar using 7zip, and flash it with the AP option in Odin, right?

Flashing failed, i get this log in Odin:
    <ID:0/008> Added!!
    <ID:0/008> Odin engine v(ID:3.1401)..
    <ID:0/008> File analysis..
    <ID:0/008> Total Binary size: 67 M
    <ID:0/008> SetupConnection..
    <ID:0/008> Initialzation..
    <ID:0/008> Get PIT for mapping..
    <ID:0/008> Firmware update start..
    <ID:0/008> NAND Write Start!!
    <ID:0/008> SingleDownload.
    <ID:0/008> twrp-3.4.0-0-gta4xlwifi.img
    <ID:0/008> Unassigned file
    <ID:0/008> Complete(Write) operation failed.
    <OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

You have to rename the twrp.img to recovery.img and add it to a .tar archive using e.g 7zip, I'll also add that to the FAQ

@Linux4, are you planning to add support for data encryption in future releases?

I'd like to add that (though only for AOSP FBE, not Samsung's encryption on stock) and already experimented a bit with it but it's still not working correctly.
