I have a New Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite and can't get TWRP installed. When I goto https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxytabs6litewifi.html to download the files it clearly says to install TWRP I need TWRP already installed. WTF?
Thank you for any and all help
TWRP Install (Requires TWRP 2.8.4 or higher already installed):
Download the latest TWRP image file (.img) from the download link and boot TWRP. Go to install and find and select the Images... button. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it. Choose recovery and swipe to flash.
Thank you for the reply. I was able to get it twrp installed. Please scroll a bit down and you'll see 'Odin install method'...

Unfortunately whenever you Flash Samsung firmware the data partition gets encrypted so the process has to be repeated, you will have to backup your data. I have been looking into building TWRP for the device with FBE support no luck get. I also compiled TWRP to try and prevent it from formatting data to Ext4 haven't tested yet.So I have not testing again yet... I am waiting the next update from samsung for testing it.. One question, If your stock rom you have already disabled the encryption when you will updating the stock with odin ( because the ota is broken ) You will need to flash again the Multidisabler in twrp before booting the rom and you will be fine, no data loss? If anyone has done this please let us know!

Yes, it will eventually corrupt your /data partition because of FBE when installing an OTA with TWRP, please just stick to lineage recovery.Hello everyone,
sorry if I missed something. I read it's discontinued. But ... is there a reason not to use twrp-3.4.0-3-gta4xlwifi.img as a recovery when using LOS 18.1? Thank you.
Puih, thanks. Thought there must be something like that. And superthanks for the quick reaction!Yes, it will eventually corrupt your /data partition because of FBE when installing an OTA with TWRP, please just stick to lineage recovery.

Some novel idea?
Thank you very much, English is not my native language and it is very difficult for me to translate and interpret the terms.Did you read the thread's title? It's discontinued because it softbricked people's...
I really haven't had any luck, I have read too much information and translated it later and I can't understand why my bootloader is not fully unlocked.(carefully read unlocking instructions again and you'll hopefully see why).
Read carefully this guide and follow it step by step https://www.thecustomdroid.com/fix-missing-oem-unlock-toggle-samsung-galaxy-devices/I really haven't had any luck, I have read too much information and translated it later and I can't understand why my bootloader is not fully unlocked.
I like to learn on my own but sometimes any help is welcome.

Thanks for making this possible.
I assume you have to rename the twrp.img to recovery.tar using 7zip, and flash it with the AP option in Odin, right?

@Linux4, are you planning to add support for data encryption in future releases?
