Hello!
Thanks for your hard work, but I can't use that rom due 72Hz refresh rate by default. It's because my screen is replaced, 5 touches, but fod working great.
Is that possible to set 60Hz with patch or something?

the android 13 build has the 72Hz modification disabled because it may be incompatible, but it has missing basic features. i'd wait, probably by the first update of September to install that one instead.

Thx for info. But atm I'm interested in solid stable 12.1, and one thing prevents me from trying

So, been using this rom for about month. It improved A LOT since first releases of a12 (not a12.1).

Performance? This phone got a new life. I thought i need some new Pixel 6/7 when it comes, but now i don't care anymore. Ram management is pretty decent, animations are silky smooth, even on 60hz (yes, its not comparable to 90hz/120hz/144hz, but as for 60hz, it's way better than on MIUI) which haven't been the case on all a12/a12.1 roms. Apps opens really fast, consistently. Games performance i don't really know, i have PC for games, but probably as excepted for raphael, should be ok.

Stability? Never had any stability issues. No random crashes of phone, no random crashes of apps. So far, it been great. Some issues appeared when i was on ext4, but on f2fs... It's been rock-stable.

Battery... So there's where this rom kinda hurts, at least for me after using this phone for 3 years - 722 cycles (shows in settings in this rom), and 2700mah showed in accubattery. I didn't have problem to last it whole day at work, which is usual 8 hours shift (some YouTube, discord, chrome usage, and a lot of notes and calculator) in light mode, which is fine. But after i come back, almost always i have to charge it. But yes, i have bad battery, which i should replace. Accubattery stats of average battery discharge is 6h 30min for my specific usage and battery.

Customization is pretty nice to have. It's not like u will make your own UI (which is expected), but a lot of nice touches u can do to personalize your phone more.

Overall? Best rom FROM MY EXPERIENCE so far i have EVER tried on ANY phone. I usually don't make reviews of roms, i just change them. But this rom been just perfect for me for past month, even with my bad battery. Joey, u made great job.

If this happens, try clearing all apps from recent screen and force close the app. That seems to be working for me.

I too face this problem on this ROM. And this is not for a particular app. Any app starts behaving this way and after clearing app(s) from memory it works again.

I would also like to mention a few other issues. One is of battery. I was on EvoX for android 10 for past 2 years and the battery from 80 to 20% would last me a full day but now I have to charge it twice or thrice a day to last. Have turned on android battery optimisation, restricted some apps to not run in background but still ot doesn't affect much. Be it screen off or screen on, the battery drains way too much.

Also, the chat bubbels feature is not working for whatsapp on my phone. Is it just me or anyone else is facing it too. Just a disclaimer, I have work profile installed and there are two WhatsApp on my phone.

And I have clean installed this ROM after formating my phone amd backing up my data(not data partition).

The QS menu when fully expanded sometimes crashes and the bottom 4 icons overlaps the top 4 icons. A restart fixes it but that happens sometimes. Will attach a screenshot next time.

Also a request, can we have the app locker not lock apps again once we've unlocked, like in previous versions where they only lock again if screen is locked? Otherwise chat bubbles just disappears after the timeout(which is mentioned clearly).

Thank you for supporting this device till now. The phone has got smoother with the new update but just a few glitches like the battery one is making my phone unusable.
When I was mentioning my problem with QS menu, it was this one, tagged below.
This is a interesting bug. After it happens need to restart otherwise it stays like this. How could I get logs to post?

I did format data (according to an Indian in a YouTube video you indeed only need to flash this partition) to f2fs yesterday, I was on ext4 before. I didn't notice any problems, system seems smoother but I can't guess if it's because I clean flashed or because of the FS
How do you get the partition to stay f2fs? I formated and changed the file system from ext4 to f2fs in recovery, but when I flash the rom and boot, system and data go back to ext4.

If you change FS in orangefox the do the "format data -> yes" thing, it'll switch back to ext4, so just don't do this and it will stay, at least for me that works

Should be safe for the screen. When the screen started changing brightness and "flickering", were you browsing some sort of web page with embedded video ads by any chance? Because that's a known issue; video ads causing this. Just X out the embedded video ad or, better yet, install something like Blokada. You can also just stick to 60 Hz when surfing the web, obviously.

After around 20 test builds, I and other users can assure you better battery life on this new update. Deep sleep issues have been confirmed to be squashed so no need to do anything regarding that. A lot of device-side changes to further update/improve our current situation on Android 12.

Bluetooth aptX Adaptive and aptX TWS(+) are now supported as we've switched to the QTI Bluetooth stack. Skia Vulkan is now the default for UI rendering. Several improvements to audio has also been done to improve calls and music streaming. A lot of sepolicy denials have been addressed to ensure less logging during system uptime.

Extended swipe/advanced nav gestures have been removed in favor of a more stable gesture nav experience. It was causing some gesture issues, especially in apps during landscape mode. NFC icons for the status bar and QS tile have been updated (for Global and CN users) while esepowermanager and secure_element have been totally disabled for raphaelin users as they relate to NFC as well. Gboard spoof has been switched to redfin to avoid some force close issues while Play store will no longer be spoofed as app developers can apparently now block certain device fingerprints from downloading their apps.

I've been having almost 2 weeks of sleepless nights, testing and making sure everything is stable and won't cause any more battery drains. There have been reports of improved active and idle drains in the tele group already after testing. I hope you guys enjoy and continue supporting Evo X by donating. Thanks!
