Hey! I have a magisk rooted s10e on ASF3 that was running well and I decided to flash this ROM. I ran a backup first through TWRP, flashed the rom and now I'm stuck at the boot screen (regardless if I hold down bixby and volume up first or not).
I tried restoring the backup and also reflashing the multi-disabler but both things seem to not have helped.
I can boot back into recovery, but that's it. I'm not sure what to do, I'd love to not have to wipe everything again :D
Someone previously mentioned flashing the stock recovery image through TWRP, but I'm afraid of killing TWRP and it still not booting.
Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks a ton!

Ok, so I managed to fix this by booting into download mode, reflashing BL, CP, Magisk-Patched AP and Home CSC through Odin, then rebooting into TWRP, flashing the multi-disabler (not 100% certain if necessary, but better safe than sorry) and then rebooting. It worked, I didn't lose any data, although magisk for some reason doesn't work anymore, not certain why but I'll look into that later.

Jah's making me crazy
This is not a ROM!!! There is afaik no theming inside. So yepp, it should be stock a like.;)

Well whatever it is this ROM is great. Has worked flawlessly since I installed it alongside stock ROM ?

P.s I know this is a mod zip and there's no difference in experience against a full ROM from the man, I'm Just being dry in the humor department against people who still think this is a ROM

Probably because I'm british and Brexit is killing my brain cells. ????

Anyway glad to have the perks of soldiers work on my device. ?????

Yeah, as far as I know there's no TWRP with ASG8 yet

Right then, I have got the hang of switching recoveries using the batch script in the twrp thread

I went in to twrp and flashed the mod zip (the only thing I did in twrp) but got a bootloop on rebooting.

Were there any additional steps required in twrp or was I supposed to do the three Button combo when rebooting following flashing the mod zip and reinstalling stock recovery in TWRP terminal?

I honestly don't really know how I did this. I remember flashing TWRP through their official App, booting into it and flashing the multi disabler. I don't know if I did a factory reset after flashing the multi-disabler.

Thx, but what I did:
- Downloaded Firmaware ASF3
- Downloaded TWRP 3.3.1-3.1 (ian)
- Put both file on my mobile and patched them via magisk manager
- Copy them back to my pc renamed patched twrp image to recover.img and replaced the one in the magisk_patched.tar ap file with the patched one via 7z
- Flashed it via ODIN with BL, AP, CP and HOME_CSC file
- right after falsh back to twrp and flashed soldiers mod
- working until setting fingerprints

So, I think I was using a up to date kernel. But meanwhile I think I know, what I did wrong:
When I was on ASD5 I had never have topress any button at boot. It always booted with magisk and root. Now, it was not like that. So it booted up with no root and I did not flash the multi disabler. So booting without root seems to have destroyed my system. Now I did same like described above but at any possibility I flashed the multidisabler (in total 3 times). Working now for a couple of days, but I did only a few reboot tests right after setup and again, pressing no button and my phone boots with magisk and root. I'm a little bit confused because at all threads with TWRP + Magisk it says that you have to push Vol Up + Bixb + PWR until bootloader warning. Well.. Currently I'm happy, just a little bit afraid of a reboot ;).

Rooting has really gotten a pain in the ass.. very sad to see that developement on Samsung devices..

I'm ****ed again... Today I wanted to try something with Edxposed. Worked great until I did a "normal" restart from.. Magisk root was gone again. Going back to TWRP and do the reboot into recovery or starting with magisk key combo until bootloader warning ends up in "Lockscreen loop". When trying to unlock it several times I come into my system, but only for a few seconds until phone freezes and reboots itsself into no root mode... Main problem now is, I did not do any backups ind advance.... So my question is, what can I do, to get back root, without format data? Am i right with the following options:

1. created patched AP file with appyling magisk to it and replace recovery.img inside the ap although with magisk patched one (I will update to 3.1-4 here as well, but AP file will remain ASF3)
2. Flash BL, AP (patched), CP and HOME_CSC file
3. Don't let Odin reboot device after flash
4. Reboot into recovery and flash
5. Flash multidisabler at least 4 to 20 times
6. Reboot into recovery from TWRP, be happy and get this failure never again because of TWRP update to 3.1-4
7. Create fresh backup
8. Install Soldiers mod via TWRP

May this work? Most important thing to me, is getting itanium backup to work.

€dit:
Yes, I was right. It is working this way, but you have to enter Recovery 2 times, after Odin flash.

Phone reboots after opening Camera app for anyone else? Updated all the firmware etc and flashed the July update.

No problem, got it to boot now, but you can't use the camera at all.

Did you find a fix for the camera problem?

Replying to myself, but seems to be a problem with the firmware since I reflashed everything without the mod and still crashes when opening camera.

Update #1: Reflashed stock through Odin, camera works fine. Will now try to flash the magisk patched AP without TWRP and see if the camera works.
Update #2: After flashing the AP patched through Magisk the camera still works fine. Will now install TWRP.

-added ZTO CSC to active csc selection
-renamed CSC Changer to Active CSC Selection (You cannot change CSC with that one)
-removed unneeded product partition files (reduces mod size from 667MB to 262MB!)
-removed busybox copy to system (its not symlinked, so useless this way)
(if you want to have busybox in system, install it from busybox app)

    7
    1.6 released

-working with all twrp builds now (tested and confirmed working by 3 testers)
-removed splash screen changer, because device detection isn't working anymore in updater-script based scripts
(i have added them as seperate in a updater-binary file flash, those are still working fine)
-for csc features you NEED to select the CSC which is showing in your Settings - Software information screen!
[active csc detection isn't working either anymore, because Samsung decided to show /efs/imei/mps_code.dat only when booted ;)]
