sorry
sorry
That sounds good to me.Just wanted to make a quick post asking all of you guys; what goals should we focus on?
So far we have:
-Find a way to enable USB Debugging.
-Figure out how Gabb is tracing the phones OS. (They know if its been tampered with)
-Attempt to keep Gabb from finding out our methods, so they don't get patched as quickly
(We WILL keep the methods public, just harder to find maybe?? this one is still up in the air)
-Disable OTA Updates. This should stop Gabb from patching any bugs/glitches we find.
We actually solved this one, and I`ll make a post explaining how to do it once I have some more time.
In the meantime, DO NOT install ANY software updates that Gabb throws out, we dont want anything to get patched!
Are you able to do anything with fastboot
[email protected]I finsihed the guidesend me your email and I will give the pdf to you with the instructions also, the guide file has a password so gabb aint seeing it, so I will send that to you aswell
My parents already know that if they gave me a gabb phone I'd reflash it, don't need them getting an email lol
Woah Woah Woah, don't flash yet, How new is your phone!
Unnecto Swift's Sim CardI tried replacing the sim card, it says I need a sim me lock code (I used an Unnecto Swift)
How did you get this firmware image? When exactly did you get it? Mediatek devices have a special download mode that you can put them in if there was ever a problem with the Rom itself. If you got the image before their latest security update, then we just have to use this image and install it through download mode, and launch the developer options exploit found by going to privacy and searching for "auto" in settings.Did you get it into proper ADB mode or just ADB sideload mode?
I have a stock FW image that I could maybe patch to have USB debugging enabled
Only issue is I can't flash it because the bootloader is locked
this entire thread has a lot of people who have already done that. However, the newer phones get BRICKED if you try it. Someone posted a pdf with download and everything... It's a bit suspicious but it'll get the job done, but you need a phone that has had 2 updatesHow did you get this firmware image? When exactly did you get it? We could. We just have to put the phone into download mode (special emergency flashing mode) and restore it using the stock rom.Could we theoretically just flash the stock rom for this phone?
Then we wouldn't have to work around Gabb's garbage![]()
We could but the only versions available are for the rebranded versions that are locked down and don't support other carrier APNs. (Visible and Yahoo Mobile)We could. We just have to put the phone into download mode (special emergency flashing mode) and restore it using the stock rom.

they are getting bricked because they have newer versions of the phone with firmware that likely prevents you from going backHow do they get bricked if they are using a stock firmware image? There's literally nothing to brick. It's like restoring the phone before it got patched.

That's impossible. It overwrites the old firmware.they are getting bricked because they have newer versions of the phone with firmware that likely prevents you from going back
Pretty sure someone did and they couldn't install apps from there so no luckOK, has anyone tried using the fastboot command "fastboot oem adb_enable=1"?
You can attempt it yourself
Interesting... Everybody like this post if you're getting a similar notificationIf someone could send me an email I'd really appreciate it! [email protected]
Gabb must have already figured it out because I just got a notification for a software update, but I'm hoping I can figure it out before the update goes through.
enjoyCan someone create a phone edited image of it so I can get an answer?
