Hello, thanks for making this tool, I just have one question, im pretty new to all this stuff, all im really looking for is Rooting my shield so that I can use sixaxis tool.

What do I need to select or do in your app to do just that, im not really interested in doing any other stuff.

Thanks!

on step 4 i get E: cant mount /sdcard/

why is OUDHS Recovery used over the other?

I also had my device reported as offline in adb while in android. i killed the adb.exe process and updated the files for the adb.
once i connected my pc to the shield it ask to grant my pc rights. this did not happen before. now my device is reported.

but i still cant do the last part of step 4 cuz the card wont mount. but the step before that completed copying the files.
sideload failed also starts then aborts.

any hints?
thanks.

Try adb universal driver and pda net, first plug your shield debogage usb mode and wait the drivers installation then reboot your shield on fastboot mode and plug it on your pc, i have a pc with windows 7 64bit and my shield is detected.

I can't manage to unlock the bootloader. I am booted to android, hit the option and it boots me to bootloader, but it just says "waiting for device". ADB shows my device connected while its booted to android, but not in the bootloader. What am I doing wrong?

Your fastboot driver isnt installed, you need to be IN device manager on your pc then boot your shield into fastboot and you'll see it pop up once you plug it in to your pc.
steps and screenshots included. you're welcome.

This says it's for windows 8.1 though?
Edit: Did it on windows 7 64 bit and it worked. Bootloader is unlocked now. Thanks!

Will unlocking the boot loader wipe the device as which happens with phones? At least the Nexus 4 does as a security precaution.

edit:
Read in another thread that yes, it does.
So my question now is will Sonic and the other game it came with also delete (I assume the saves will)

In defense of Brian (The suspected troll from before)
I got the same issue, He just didnt know how to explain it, after installing CWM and pushing superSU to the device, the install via CWM fails. (hence the android with the red triangle thing). I did the same thing he did though, just grabbed the img from github and installed it, and now all is well.
