I installed it in recovery section and then pressed reboot to recovery and the mobile restarts and it goes black. Must you click reboot to recovery direct after installation or can you go back in the menu backwards after installed ad click system and restart to recovery?
I added a TWRP for Odin, so you can directly flash my TWRP on your device.

It has a md5sum, so flashing a corrupted file should not be possible.

Please doublecheck that you use the TWRP for your device and make sure that you use MarshMallow bootloader and modem.

Thank you!
But how do you mean: Please doublecheck that you use the TWRP for your device and make sure that you use MarshMallow bootloader and modem?
That i have not used before.

In ODIN 3.10 i only select https://android.jenslody.de/BootleggersROM/j5nlte/TWRP/TWRP_3.2.3_j5nlte_20181222_jenslody.tar.md5 from AP button.

CP button for these below?
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=158174
BL_J500FNXXU1BPH1.tar
MODEM_J500FNXXU1BPH1.tar

Which order shall it be installed?

INSTALLATION:
1.- Download BL and modem for your model phone
2.- Enter in Download mode (Power + home + Volume Down)
3.- Untick autoreboot in odin
4.- Put BL_J500xxx.tar into BL or CP tab and click Start
5.- After enter in mode Download again manually
6.- Put Modem_J500xx.tar into CP tab and click start
7.- After you can already put the recovery 3.2.3 rom of the version that you decided to return

With best regards.

What he means by the marshmallow part is this: did you start off with stock android 5.1.1 or 6.0.1? We need stock 6.0.1 for this to work.

Hi,
I have not ever installed any modem or BL from the beginning. How can I check which version I have?
And shall I install 6.0.1 modem and BL before 3.2.3? How do I do it? Were will these files be placed in boot? I will use Odin 3.10.7...

As non developer I have to read a lot of forum to find the right answer.

With best regards.

I just woke up and read this. Your aosp ext 4.5 requires LP bootloader. We need you on MM bootloader. Please follow the guide and we'll help you out as needed. Grab odin, grab the files, and flash what its teling you to flash.

F-Droid Privileged Extension keeps crashing after June 11 update. I've installed F-Droid using Nanodroid's Magisk modules. I don't know if that's why it's crashing, but it was working just fine before the update. Here's the crash log:

Hi,
Where can I get hold of MM 6.0.1 BL & MODEM tar files with region NEE Sweden latest version 2017.07.xx? Does it matter which region these files are from? BL in BL and Modem in CP in Odin 3.10.7?! Will TWRP 3.2.3 work without black screen with 6.0.1...? Can aosp 4.5 Android 7.1.2 work with 6.0.1 BL+modem?

If you want, you can dl from sammobile the update specifically for your region, then use 7zip to extract. I don't believe BL and modem regions are too important, b/c i got my j500m running on 6.0.1 with a region/carrier of TTT, thats trinidad and tobago. I'm now using a BL and modem from columbia and everything is good.

Odin 3.13.3 is available. I have put everything in the AP box to flash the individual partitions like you will be doing, and no issues. You can also flash the recovery from there too. I have flashed the *.tar recovery files only, nothing else.

I have not experienced black screen, but i've been on a MM BL the whole time

The AOSP that you refer to and have on your device is useless on MM BL. Is there a way to bypass the check? Maybe, but i think it was built into the rom to work only with LP BL. You give up that rom for the opportunity to flash more up to date stuff.

I thought I would have problems with VM and Odin, but I'll try this. Thank you, man.
You can use heimdall, either with UI (somewhat complicated) or from console.
If your device is in download-mode type:
Code:
heimdall flash --RECOVERY recovery.img
Replace "recovery.img" with the name (and probably path) of the image-file.
Heimdall should be available in all major distros.

I tried and it says:

Heimdall v1.4.1

    Instructions
MarshMallow bootloader is required or you will not be able to boot the rom !
Latest stock firmware is recommended before installing this rom, even if it might work with older versions !
    1. Use the TWRP from the download-link for your device above (needs to be flashed from existing TWRP, ODIN version might come)
    2. Download the latest build
    3. Put it on your device
    4. Reboot to TWRP
    5. If you want to be sure wipe the device
    6. Flash the latest build
    7. Clean Cache and Dalvik if you want
    8. Reboot and enjoy

    Others

Easily rootable with the great Magisk (stable) by @topjohnwu.

I use it as daily driver without major issues.

I use microG as google replacement and for push-services, signature-spoofing is already build into the rom but need to be enabled in "Settings -> Bootleg dumpster -> Miscellaneous" and granted in "Settings -> apps" and/or in microG-Settings.

Finally it happened, the first stable Pie release of Bootleggers is out.
    Welcome the new 4.0-Stable build.
Download links as ususal in the first post, sourceforge is currently (carefullly said) a little bit slow, estimated upload time for one device currently at 10 hours (!!!).
So only the links to my server work.

Many tweaks under the hood, greatest change for most users: we switched to Snap instead of the AOSP-stock cam, so using the shipped camera should give you a much better experience now.
Sound might be a little bit louder, not really checked, it's nearly midnight now, I'm deadly tired (debugged until 4:30 last night and had only four hours of sleep) my daughter sleeps and I can not test, sorry.
As always any feedback is welcome.

And: no, the OTA-app is still not ready, so manual downloading is needed.
    15
I just uploaded a new build to my server, which fixes the home-button-does-not-wake-up-device-issue and the not reachable sim-settings.
The rom now comes with a preinstalled browser.
The camera/flashlight issue is not fixed: randomly the flashlight/torch does not work from quick-settings and the camera crashes, sometimes both work (mostly after a longer up-time of the device), but the camera always takes square photos, while the video-format is okay.
Third party cameras work (at least OpenCamera a real good camera from F-Droid).

Many optical updates: lots of the great Bootleggers themes and new real cool icons for the QuickSettings).

Unfortunately the launcher has changed, because lawnchair (still alpha) caused massive lags on some devices, so it was (temporarily) removed in favor of a modified launcher3. Be aware, that all launcher settings have to be redone.
But as you know (if you have read the OP) the status of this rom ist still testing, so such changes can happen, even if nobody is really happy with it.
But still a rom, that works surprisingly stable on our old, small devices, I use it on work every day and never had any trouble with it.
