After this, I backed up my data, flashed TWRP_3.6.0_11-0, Flashed Orangefox, Flashed GApps and rebooted. Et voila, update complete!I have updated directly from the updater and now my GApps are uninstalled.
I tried flashing again from the new AOSP recovery but I get an error. How should I proceed with installing gapps if I don't want to wipe my data again?
My data partition is still ext4 and not f2fs.
You need to install Twrp Nebrassy, boot into Twrp, then flash the latest TWRP.I've unlocked the bootloader and now trying to install TWRP from [this guide](https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/oneplus-6-unlock-bootloader-flash-twrp-root-nandroid-efs-backup.3792643/) using TWRP version 3.6.0 from [here](https://eu.dl.twrp.me/enchilada/). When I run `fastboot boot twrp.img`, the phone stays at the TWRP splash screen.
Any solution for installing TWRP?

Yep... It's been discussed somewhere on here, that Twrp Nebrassy will get you sorted.. then install your ROM, Gapps and flash the latest 3.6 version or whatever it is. After you have installed the latest TWRP, you should no longer be stuck on the splash screen
Never use full gapps they are causing system full issue .
Hi, this didn't work.Which twrp u r using previously?
fatsboot boot file name.IMG
If.its booted then go to advance and select falsh current twrp.
Now twrp is permanent.
If still it sticks at splash screen then do
This will wipe u r data
Then falsh twrp
fatsboot boot file name.IMG
Did you try the Nebrassy flash route first via CMD? Put phone into fastboot mode then flash nebrassyHi, this didn't work.
I just unlocked my bootloader today and had no TWRP installed before this. This is the first time I'm trying to root this phone.
When you say `Then flash twrp` after fastboot -w, how exactly do we do that? And can we get back to a working device if after fastboot -w, TWRP doesn't install for some reason?
I'm on Android 11 OOS 11 (build number A6000_22_210805).
Can you share the Nebrassy link?Did you try the Nebrassy flash route first via CMD? Put phone into fastboot mode then flash nebrassy
Cd fastboot fastboot boot twrp.twrpnebrassy.img
This worked for me, as i had the same issue as you, where i flashed the latest twrp, and got stuck on the twrp splash screen
After nebrassy is loaded, you will be able to boot into twrp, and then be able to flash the latest twrp
Trying this now.
for me it is working without any problem - EU
had the same problem. turn off phone press volume up and power until you boot into fastboot, select recovery. It didnt boot into twrp, but the syberia recover. Click wipe option and press format data/factory reset. That fixed the stuck boot animation
works for me
The one where you type "yes" is the one that straight up formats the block device, hence no encryption. That's only done on this ROM as A12 encryption support is finnicky at best on this device. If you need work profiles on your device, I would recommend grabbing an Anroid 11 ROM. My favorite was Pixel Experience, but LineageOS with OpenGApps also ought to do the trick, and that will give you Work Profile functionality along with /data encryption by default.I tried that, but the problem isnt with rom that I am experiencing as of now.
I want my work profile set up through company intune, but while setting up work profile it is asking me to encrypt the data, which I cant do because, Syberia doesn't support encryption along with twrp (any rom for all that matters).
It was encrypted just before I was flashing rom, in my stock OOS, but as soon as I flash a ROM, and try to wipe the data (by pressing yes) it was showing it is encrypted, hence I couldnt wipe it.
So I used the default swipe( which clears data, and all the caches), and then the phone becomes decrypted, hence causing the problem of work profile.

- Unlocked bootloader is required - Download ROM.zip, latest OOS 11 firmware (optional: Gapps, Magisk) and put to internal memory - Boot into TWRP - Once twrp booted go to "Install" -> choose ROM.zip - Reboot -> recovery - Go to "Install" -> choose OOS firmware.zip, Gapps.zip (optional Magisk, Gapps-Addons etc.) - Go to "Wipe" -> Swipe for factory reset, then Format data (via "yes") - Reboot -> System - Enjoy.
