Hi @AnierinB . I'm not sure if you expect them to work, but on 8T, the macro lens doesn't work, even with the snapcam versions. When switching to lens 3 (macro lens), any of the gcam versions I've tried crash. I've tried Greatness, BSG, Wichaya and all with the same result. Happy to post logs etc. if you're interested.

Hi @AnierinB . In case you get a chance to look at it, I've tried several gcams today, and they all crash if you try and use the macro lens on my 8T. The error message in the logs all look similar ...

Code:
05-14 20:44:51.058 11477 11477 W ProtoDataStoreFlagStore: Unable to retrieve flag snapshot for com.google.android.libraries.performance.primes#org.codeaurora.snapcam, using defaults.

gcam log is attached.

1. Disable wide mode lens correction in the apps settings (p.s you could have found this by reading the first post in this thread).

2. Will be fixed on this weekends builds. Just need to update the gallery version.
Thanks for the quick reply. I've been following the thread for a long time, but I didn't notice the info at the beginning until now, sorry

I'll fix this on the releases later this week, seems to be a rather easy fix. However, I've already started my update cycle for 8 series today so it won't be available in tonight's builds.

Quick questions on OTA (I see a new update):

1. Does it keep magisk or do I need to reflash?
2. Does it need EvoX recovery or can it use LOS recovery (I needed this to flash Magisk because it fails the check in EvoX recovery)?
3. Any worries about losing data? Do I need to backup to the nth degree or is this process now smooth and error free mostly?

Hello,
I'm thniking to move to EvoX ROM.
Please, can you let me know if Play Store says "Device Certified" or not and if GPay and banking apps are working properly (without root) out of the box or if I need to root or use Magisk?
Thanks

I have magisk because I needed root. The play store says certified. Haven't tried gpay because I don't use it but other banking apps work fine. I had trouble with HSBC, which worked only on my P3XL

Dolby Atmos has absolutely no effect when listening to music in Spotify. Whether it's turned on or off, no effect on sound. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: works after latest update

Is there any way to remove the white line in the bottom of display?

At Settings -> System -> Gestures -> System navigation -> Gestures navigation
check "full screen gestures"

You don't need root for play store, gpay, banking etc.. I'm running the current EvoX on my 8T, unrooted and everything works fine. The only slight funny thing is 2 apps (Barclays Bank and the NHS app in the UK) don't like fingerprints - they work fine, but biometrics don't work. GPay and all my other apps work fine with biometrics though.

This rom is amazing wow
After having multiple bug on OxygenOS 12, which was the worst update ever that i had on any phone, i've decided to install this rom for my OnePlus 8, and it freaking amazing.
Really a BIG BIG thank you @AnierinB for this rom, i really like it ^^

One question/suggestion, would it be possible on a future update (or now with root) to have the possiblity to disable Dolby Atmos and the Papers app?

Unhide your magisk manager before updating)
* When you install the OTA, don't reboot, simply open Magisk Manager and click on the first "install" button then "install to inactive slot" and once it's done, reboot and enjoy.
Thanks for that info. How about the mindthegapps? Never mind....they are in the ROM itself.

I updated this afternoon and now the OOS Camera is broken. It FCs on launch. Anybody else seeing the same thing? I cleared cache and storage, but no help.

OOS camera works for me on the latest build. Maybe try a reflash?

@AnierinB while watching an HDR video the screen brightness lowers significantly and the original brightness level doesn't go back until the reboot. Is this a known issue?
