Yep there was a fix for that overnight. Official CM nightlies didn't get it but this build did in time to get into todays build. They fixed a bunch of things with Trebuchet, CM's launcher.
Yeah, seems a lot more stable and fluid as well. Cm 10.2 is finally coming together...

Hey guys, I wanted to know if this ROM is smooth and stable enough to use as a daily driver? Also how's the battery life, cause I'm on 4.3 kangabean and i get about 3hrs screen time. Thanks.

Recommended recovery?

I'm currently running SHOStock 2.1 & TWRP 2.5.0.2 on an AT&T S4. I've read conflicting reports regarding the recommended recovery for flashing CM 10.2. Some say CWM 6.0.3.6 is the only reliable recovery for flashing CM 10.2, others say TWRP is fine. Has anyone had any experience with Jeboo's recovery (based upon CWM 6.0.3.2)?

Should I change my recovery before flashing this, and if so, to what? If CWM, standard or touch?

Thanks-

I recommend Twrp 2.5.0.2 (6.0 tends to freeze up and require reboots). But, CWM works as well. I haven't used Jeboo.

Building...

Starting to compile a new build with the commits to fix the upside-down preview in the Focal camera. It should be up in a few hours. I'll edit this post when I have uploaded and changed links in OP.

Flash it and let us know:silly:
Ugh, thought that was regarding the commit. Sorry for the misquote... I'm multitasking here. :D

EDIT: Changed OP with new build. Focal front-facing camera preview is no longer upside down; however, a resolution fix may be in order. It looks a bit stretched, but the saved images seem fine.

EDIT X2: Looks like there are more commits being added for the camera/gallery. Look forward to those in the builds tonight.

Not sure, I'll test mine out tomorrow when I have a chance. Keep in mind that cm 10.2 is still in early stages, but a lot of things are actually being ported over from cm 10.1, so I can't imagine it being non-functional for long if that's the case...

EDIT: OP Updated with new build. A ton of Gallery2 fixes.

EDIT X2: Ugh, these just merged right after the builds initiated; but they will be in the morning builds:

overlay: config item for SIM Hot Swap support (Merged) David Hacker
Button & keyboard backlight brightness adjustment (1/2) (Merged) Michael Bestas

I think I'm finally going to flash this. Been holding off for a while but now seems like the perfect time to flash.

2 quick questions that I think I know the answer to, but just want to confirm.

I'm assuming that updating via CM Updater within "about phone" will either not work, or if it does, won't be updating your specific nightly?

Also, with the IR Blaster support, I'm assuming you've made various changes to the system in order to achieve this? As in, people who flash the official CM nightlies won't be able to just flash the Watch On app .zip and have it working for them?

Anyways, I've downloaded and flashed and all is working, IR Blaster included! =) Good work friend!

You are correct, do not update within CM unless you want to use their official nightlies.

Also, with the IR Blaster support, I'm assuming you've made various changes to the system in order to achieve this? As in, people who flash the official CM nightlies won't be able to just flash the Watch On app .zip and have it working for them?
You can flash the WatchOn app in their nightlies, but it won't work on their nightlies since irda isn't implemented officially yet.

Awesome! Also give props to cm and the gerrit participants. :)

UPDATE!

Hey guys, I'm not posting the morning auto build because I'm updating IR to the new patchset and adding the IRda expose commit so you can update WatchON via Google Play! I'd like to thank Xiao-Long Chen for this commit! I'll let you know when the build is complete and uploaded. :D

EDIT: OP Updated with the updated build!

EDIT X2: Still shows incompatibility through the Play Store. I'm going to check to see if there are any additional dependencies...

EDIT X3: No additional dependencies. I'm going to do a fresh sync and rebuild again to see if it makes a difference...

EDIT X4: New build should be available in the late afternoon. This may take some time.

EDIT X5: Noticed that the commit was being applied before the 3rd IR patch which could have been the issue. Rebuilding...

I think I'm going to try this out tonight, however I've noticed one thing with several ROMs I've used, everyone has broken WIFI/Bluetooth teathering which i never needed before.. except I just got my new Nexus 7 wifi only and its killing me to not use it.
Can you confirm its working in your build? :)
Thanks for all the hard work :D

Wifi/USB tethering works great on my end. However, I haven't tested bluetooth tethering. :)

Edit: Also, this next build is almost complete. I should have att/can variants uploaded within a half hour or so.

The patch for IRda exposure still doesn't seem to be letting me update/download WatchON from the play store. Let me know if anyone else has success. However, the IR commit has been updated with patch #5 from 4.

Xiao-Long Chen 2:28 PM
Patch Set 4:
Jahon: Actually, if you build from patch set 3, it will be broken because that change reverted PS2. Please try building with either PS2 or PS4 (they're identical).
Looks like I got a response regarding this. I'm going to do a build tonight with this fix.

EDIT: Rebuilding with the working patch. For this to work, you guys will need to clear your caches and clear the Play Store "App Data" of course; then, you should be able to update/download WatchOn and Samsung "Peel" apps directly from the Play Store.
