Hey! :) I'm @Da-BOSS or THEBOSS619 or 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 known on NBR forums & 4PDA & many other forums... I'm expert on tweaking anything from BIOS to Laptops to Drivers to Smartphones... lol even for smartwatches :D Developer on many projects,etc.... Anyway... I'm a person who likes stability & stock ROM over anything else.. who wants to have full control without causing any trouble while maintaining speed & quality of the ROM  Welcome to my world :D were nothing is for free.. so.. I am here to offer the opposite... to offer something for free and from my own precious free time to XDA members... since I usually take what other developers do and optimize it & tweak it to my own liking but I never shared it to anyone... since I use it for my own benefits ;) but... in my mind... I though that this action of sharing this ROM for Oreo Lovers :highfive: might make someone's day happy ;) So.. I decided to share it here...

Main Info of this ROM:-
Rom Firmware:- N960FXXS2ARL4
BL or BootLoader:- N960FXXS2ARL4
CP or Modem:- N960FXXU2ARL2
CSC:- N960FOXM2ARK2 [OXM multi CSC package]

This ROM is based on DevBase ROM made by @_alexndr with every features that DevBase have and it is also purely stock without anything modified except that this Oreo ROM is updated from ARL3 to ARL4 since ARL4 have higher changelist than ARL3 so.. nobody tried to give Oreo a shot to update there roms to ARL4 so... I did it by myself and updated it to ARL4 while preserving all DevBase mods & features & options without causing any kind of issues or losing any kind of options that DevBase is offering ;)

So... if you want to have an idea or informattion about Devbase features or mods.. @_alexndr already explained & described everything on his post ... here DevBase v6.0

The firmware obtained from Sammobile and being tested with my own Note 9 N960F device and it works without any kind of issues.. any issues you may encounter please.. report it and I will try to fix it as long as I have free time :) , Please understand.... I don't take requests... Thank you! :)

Credit and Thanks for:-
@_alexndr - Respected developer for unbelievable contribution to XDA/Android community across all devices :)
@Eamo5 - Respected developer for his amazing kernel & for his ideas and guidance plus his awesome kernel Endurance :)
@google - for being my best friend :D

I'm going to flash this one in a sec. I'm on Pie RomAur now and it's fine but I like Oreo UI more, also themes, xposed, viper and battery life with my particular usage was better on Oreo.

Since I always used ARL3 devbase with my own mods I might as well grab your ARL4 now ;)

You won't regret.. there's a big difference between ARL3 & ARL4 ;) :)

You never know:D
I wonder what i'm doing wrong.. I can't force the CSC as it says it isn't supported and it won't install because in TWRP it errors with Can't detect current CSC. I can install DB 5.9 ARL2 just fine with forced CSC for example. ALso ARL3 installation and TWRP nandroid backup work fine with PHN CSC but i can't in any way install your ROM..

Can you install without forcing CSC? the Devbase script will automatically keep your current CSC.. without touching it:)
It never happened when I tested with one of my friends Note 9 and on my own...

Are you doing it with (Format wipe [yes]) type ? Or without wiping? And also it maybe because your Bootloader is updated for PIE and not for Oreo

I flashed ARL4 official with Odin and even then with and without forcing CSC it keeps giving the same error.

Moving the system.img into the old zip of devbase ARL3 with alexandr's original script works fine with forced CSC and xposed. I installed the ARL4 BL from the official release through Odin as well. Now i basically have the same ARL4 with all options.

Nice to see there is still an Oreo update since I need to keep Magisk with Xposed Framework... :good:

I'd like to test and to flash your rom, but need to be sure it won't install a custom kernel but the stock one.

Then, would it be possible to have a zip file to customize your rom for a 7 or 8 icons dock ? :D

Getting the same issue here. Please see screenshot.
Tried installing debase 5.9 then reflashing this but same error. Tried with and without forced CSC.

Every thing is stock.. same as Devbase ;) I will see about having icon dock mods but I can't assure you that it will work :)

That's what I did ! ok maybe because of the file naming that causing issues.. I uploaded a new one with renamed file... could you test that? Or or rename the zip file to N960FXXS2ARL4_DevBase_v6.0

same here CSC error first time ever seeing that when i tried to flash
Try to redownload again the file or or rename the zip file to N960FXXS2ARL4_DevBase_v6.0

link it's been updated :)

Not working here either, I replaced the ARL3 system.img with the ARL4 one and installed it that way. Flashed ARL4 BL manually through Odin.

Phone Info said my BL is ARL4 however AP still shows as ARL3 so I don't know if it worked properly tho..

n960F or n960N ? N has smaller system partition size than F.
mabe these users are using N model and you are using dev base for n960F .( there are 2 dev bases.... one for F and one for N)

phone runs out of writing space and scripts fail at the end probably when csc part of the script is parsed. so it may have nothing to do with csc but with the system.img partition blocksize

tested on my n960n and fails right at the beginning by script check so no idea why people with F had issues.
