I'm not quite sure it's related. I have the same /system mount issues with both daboss and alexandr's version of DevBase.

Any Pie ROM installs just fine, a backup of this ROM also gives the same error however flashing system image separately let's it boot even with /system wiped before that and NOT flashing system backup.

The only way I can flashing either of these ROMs is to Odin ARL4 onto my phone and flash it without wiping. This will.give the /system but the Odin flashing already put /system on the phone so it just boots.. I can Imagine extracting the system.img from the ROM zip and fastboot flashing it should work just fine.

I downloaded the new uploaded rom. Flashed BL in Odin. Wiped everything besides internal storage. Mounted system and flashed. Now getting this error. Wiped everthing again rebooted to twrp then unmounted system and flashed. Still same result. Move zip to ext card and tried the above and still getting this error. N960F..

I don't know why all those issues are happening but... I tested with my own Note 9 128GB ROM and also one of my friend tested it...

I think you all doing it while having PIE bootloader installed... have you guys all flashed first the BL that is included on the download section & then flash the rom?

here's some proof...

There is a module in magisk meant for the s9 which I did have active but it didn't help. Might also be my cheap car stereo that just isn't very cooperative hehe. If my manual fix works I'll just leave it be for now.

For the rest your ROM is running very well, nice and snappy, battery is fine as I don't use any tweaks like L Speed. I do use Endurance Kernel but also untweaked. Amy recommendations in terms of tweaks i should do?

Don't get me wrong, I know it's not an issue with your or alexandr's ROM.
I did flash the ARL4 BL as I flashed the entire official ARL4 Odin get first. That fixes it once.

It's a wierd issue maybe related to Treble partitions as well. It's almost like it flashed to /system as a System Image since restoring a nandroid with ”system" fails but if you don't select "system" but select "system image" it will restore correctly with no errors and boots fine.

I got this rom to work by flashing dev base 6.0 then flashed the system.img from your rom then flashed your BL. Only issue I have is how to I get app lock back. Tried putting it in system/priv-app but still doesn't show in advance settings.

Check if you have this line in your cscfeature.xml file, If not add it and it should fix your problem.

<CscFeature_SmartManager_ConfigSubFeatures>roguepopup|autoclean|autorestart|applock|trafficmanager</CscFeature_SmartManager_ConfigSubFeatures>

Official devbase has been updated anyway so I would use that instead if I where you. Oreo with Feb patch N960FXXS2ASB1
