Have just got to know the reason for my camera issue by somebody from the Telegram Support Channel who had the same issue than me: He flashed an obsolete build which indeed seemed to have camera issues and I was stupid enough to have done the same mistake ! Just to clarify and to know for those who may run into the same trouble.

Thanks for the update. Could you tell me which ROM did you flash at the end?

In the end, I flashed xiaomi.eu Android 11 Beta. Although I would have preferred LOS, I am satisfied. As soon I have time (and mood) to start new experiments, I will come back to LOS.

Thank you for your nice words! The lesson I learnt by these hassles was "Always be aware of what you're flashing and better sleep than flash if you're tired!" ;)

so... flashing from the beginning the correct 12.0.4 version linked in OP would have done the trick, right...?

No, it was an obsolete LOS build. Base FW was right. In the download folder linked at in the op, there were 2 LOS Builds. My mouse pointer must have sprang to the wrong one when I selected the one to download. I did not double check the downloaded one (what I should have done) as I thought, anyway, it's the newer one.

Hello,

My Poco is the Global 8/256 variant.
Something weird is happening:

1. Flashing as instructed works if I use LOS Recovery to sideload (coming from MIUI 12.0.4)
2. Flashing through TWRP (with Data + Cache clear) doesn't work and bricks the phone (I have to use Mi Flash and start the whole process again)

And... after this part:
"- Flash Gapps/Magisk with ADB sideload (same procedure as before)
- Reboot"

...it stays on the Poco logo forever as well. To sum up, I can only flash LOS with the LOS Recovery. Flashing addons causes bootloops.

Any idea why?

Thanks!

Edit: BiTGApps was causing the issue. I replaced it with OpenGApps and everything is working as expected! :)

Netflix Black Bars

Hi, I would just like to ask (not sure if it's only on my device) because Netflix is not showing full screen and there are black bars left and right. Checked the DRM info and I have Widevine L1. Is it due to this current LOS build? Btw, thanks to the dev for this awesome custom ROM!

Edit: Sorry, didnt know there was a way to zoom in. Please disregard

First of all thank you very much SebaUbuntu for porting LineageOS 17.1 to this device, it work very well and for me it's the best rom I try on this phone.

For who have camera and other sensors problem after LineageOS 17.1 rom - camera, couldn't calibrate.

EU version and MI - global verson of the phone differ on sensors settings on kernel, the difference is in persist partition so you have to re-apply your original persist image (best if same version of LOS 12.0.4).
To do this you must know from what original version you came (EU or Global) then flash persist.img from the same rom type after you have installed LOS.
In my case my phone was born on EU version (hardware):
  1. download stock MIUI EU 12.0.3 version for fastboot,
  2. extract persist.img from original rom
  3. reboot in recovery mode
  4. enable adb
  5. from pc -> adb push persist.img on /sdcard/Download
  6. from pc start an adb shell and execute: dd if=/sdcard/Download/persist.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/persist
  7. reboot
  8. calibrate the camera and reboot

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10.0 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions (Follow them carefully)
If you aren't on my previous LineageOS build:
    - On fastboot
    Code:
    fastboot erase userdata
    - Install LOS recovery
    Code:
    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
    fastboot reboot recovery
    - Format data/cache with recovery
    - Flash the ROM via ADB sideload (On recovery, Update > Update with ADB)
    Code:
    adb sideload <ROM filename>
    - Flash Gapps/Magisk with ADB sideload (same procedure as before)
    - Reboot

If you are on my previous LineageOS build:
    - Install TWRP or LRTWRP
    - Flash ROM normally without wiping data
    - Reboot

    What is working
    - Booting
    - Wi-Fi
    - Bluetooth
    - RIL (calling, SMS, mobile data, VoLTE) (dual SIM works)
    - Audio
    - Camera
    - Camera motor
    - Fingerprint on display
    - NFC
    - GPS
    - Camera LED
    - Automatic brightness
    - USB (MTP, ADB, etc.)
    - AOSP offline charging
    - LiveDisplay
    - Sensors (rotation, accelerometer, etc...)
