Hello OnePlus Addicts,

Here is a Custom-Made SUPER-PACK of some of the newest Google Camera Mods available out there, which contains the work of several developers such as Greatness (Rakin), B-S-G, P.Z.D, MTSL, LMC and Wichaya.

Please, keep in mind that I am not an app developer, myself, just an enthousiastic end-user happy to share the good stuff!

🌟 DOWNLOAD (APKs + Custom Profiles): https://ufile.io/3kitg3dw 🌟
( PW: NiCkAM8PRO-for-XDA )

[ LMC R12 is currently the latest customized pack of profiles included in this Super-Pack ]

>>> The included XML configuration profiles are made for ONEPLUS 8 PRO ONLY! Using them on another device may result in some serious bugs, crashes, and it will definitely not bring you the same user experience... <<<

1) Just download the file above, unzip it (using the provided password), then install the apk file of your choice on your device.

2) Extract the appropriate xml configuration file, as well as its folder, onto your phone internal storage.

3) Then, just start the app, give the necessary privileges, double-click on the lower black area near the 'shutter' button of the app, it should allow you to load custom profiles. Select my xml, press ok, done! :)

Some of these mods come with Face Detection, Face Retouch (both Front & Back sensors), great color reproduction, low noise, excellent details (especially on the main back sensor), FHD & 4K videos @ 30/60FPS with OIS/EIS stabilization, Night Shots, Astro-Photography, Portrait and more...

However, there is still no Distortion Correction/Fix on Wide-Angle sensor, on any GCam mod I have tried sor far actually. This might come in the future, but it seems to be quite hard for devs to implement in their respective mods. This can be fixed by some apps in post-editing anyway...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are some 'hidden' shortcuts in some of these GCam mods! For example, with Greatness, P.Z.D, MTSL and LMC, you can access the (very useful) Exposure/ISO menu by long-pressing the circle 'gallery' button on the lower-right of the main app screen, which will provide you with a choice of ISO settings, as well as Exposure choices. The lower the ISO, the better the final picture quality, but it will take more time to 'capture' your image. The same goes for Exposure; the longer the time, the better your image (and the lower iso at the same time), but you may have to be steady if you go lower than 1/10s.

A long-press on the Camera-Switch button (on Greatness Mod), on the lower-left of the main app screen, will directly bring you to the App Settings.

Double-Press the viewfinder itself will zoom 2x to what you want to shoot, and will display the Zoom Bar at the bottom, so you can finely adjust it!

There is also a 'Sunset' shortcut on the main screen/viewfinder (Greatness Mod), just above the 3 back sensors, which should theoretically bring better color reproduction and lighting to your sunsets.

Also, one personal advice when using some, if not all of these mods: You will get BETTER EXPOSURE as well as LIGHTER SHADOWS when selecting your focus zone MANUALLY (within limits of your focus zone of interest, obviously). This goes for Daylight shots, as well as Nightshots, and another advice would be to try to select either a Dark area of your image (when shooting in daylight) OR one of the Brightest zones (for example, some streetlights at night), and then take the shot. The App should then do a better job at adjusting your Exposure, Contrast and Shadows, and this will greatly reduce risks of Under-Exposing or Over-Exposing your shots. When taking snapshots of people, in case the app can't detect their face, make sure you select it manually, you will definitely get brighter, more detailed skin results. It may be one extra-step, but I personally found out that it was usually worth doing it!

Hey,

If you feel frustrated by the low-light performance of your new OP8 Pro, , just give a shot to this new GCam release, with support for most recent OnePlus/OPPO (Nord, 8 / 8 Pro...) flagships, great AWB and awesome night mode.

https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/Gcam7.3.018_Greatness.Build2.0.apk

I've managed to get wide-angle and tele to work perfect with our 8 Pro, as well as great quality from those 3 lenses, especially the primary one. Front cam works good as well.

[N00b m0de 0N] I made an XML that you could load to the app to get everything set perfect, so you can play with it immediately, file is attached to this thread. Make sure you have created a 'GCam' folder in your internal storage, as well as a 'Configs7' subfolder, and copy the xml file inside this subfolder. Then just load my file by double-clicking on the black area of the GCam app, near the shutter button. [N00b m0de 0FF]

Hi Thanks for such a wonderful Gcam. But Astrophotography is missing how can I add it. Oh Sorry got it it's there ?

Always excited to try a new GCam and Config against the stock camera. When sampling a couple captures, I am noticing a yellow tint vs stock in low light. Anyone else with the same result / suggestions on tweaking to correct for this effect?

Hi names,

Not getting any specific yellow tint in 'normal' low light on my side, except maybe in extremely dark / near obscurity which gets slightly orange (not the normal night scenery you would capture, anyway). It's definitely related to the AWB, so I suggest you try some other options in the settings if you get this yellow tint, but it might also be that the device lens cannot even "guess" the white balance if too dark to capture. However, if you don't get this yellow tint with stock, as you mention, then it's definitely something you may want to tweak in your GCam AWB settings. Good luck and please share your results with us :)

That's still good of you to do. In regards to your XML file is there any way to change the grid layout to 3x3? I can't find the option anywhere

Have to say, video in the dark compared to photo is awful on the 8pro camera, be er noticed it before , Superb in the day but at night it's pants.

Thanks for adding this..will give it a shot. Cheers

Edit: installed, working well. Will test tonight.

Never seen that photosphere before, that's nifty. Anyway to actually view them images though? Gallery just shows like half an image.

Great camera though

Gonna give her a test drive with your settings.
Edit: some photo comparisons. I believe I've uploaded in the proper order so as to tell which camera is which.

http://imgur.com/a/EjVIkCe

Hi, thank you for your feedback and for adding those pictures, interesting to compare. As you can see, contrasts are slightly boosted, which results in a bit darker photos, something you can counterbalance to some extent by adding +2 brightness in your settings. It depends on people's preference though, and I personally tend to prefer photos with more contrasts in general, which makes them look a bit more 'dramatic'.

But where this GCam will shine compared to the stock app is definitely in low-light / night-time scenarios, so I invite you to compare both apps and check the results carefully. You should be able to see how vastly superior GCam app is, in terms of noise, dark areas coming back to life, details. As some say, it's like switching on the light in the middle of the night, but better see by yourself :)

I have another GCam version and if this one is like the one I use it's great in low light compared to stock. It's not even comparable at how bad stock is (everything is red).

🌟 Here is my custom profile (V3.0) for LMC R12 Edition 💥 https://ufile.io/ybdhfaf4 (APK + XML)

    [ PW: NiCkAM8PRO-for-XDA ]

    1) Just download the file above, unzip it (using the provided password), then install the apk file on your device.

    2) Extract the xml configuration file, as well as its folder, onto your phone internal storage.

    3) Then, just start the app, give the necessary privileges, double-click on the lower black area near the 'shutter' button of the app, it should allow you to load custom profiles. Select my xml, press ok, and voila! :)

    -- XML CHANGELOG --

    • Several modifications, starting from 'HDR+Enhanced' being disabled by default, which allows instant shots to be taken without the need to hold the phone steadily for a second or two for all the HDR frames to be captured.
    • Plenty of details in the shots, while keeping noise at bay as much as possible. Details Versus Noise is always a personal choice in the end, depending how many small details you're willing to sacrifice for the noise to be minimized...
    • SlowMotion, which made the app crash in previous release, is now fixed. It's still not the same real slowmo that you get from stock app though.
    • 'Cinematic Pan' mode has been added (Video section > Stabilization section), which allows for 4K half-speed cine-motion.
    • Adjustments made in the Exposure Compensation area for all back sensors, as well as several modifications in the RamPatcher section in order to get as many details from the sensors while lowering noise.

    -- APP CHANGELOG --

    • Changed some options in the default developer.
    • Changed autofocus code to close to AGC.
    • Fixed ISO / Expo slider
    • Fixed JPG compression
    • Fixed a crash on the front camera on Mi10, X3P, and some others where it gave an Autotimer error.
    • Added all possible Sensor IDs
    • Choice of lens logic
    • Upscale / Downscale
    • Manual input of Color correction, noise models, white balance.
    • New options in the test patcher
    • Fixed noise and stability issues on all interfaces
    • Fixed auto-detection of the lens logic (Previously there was always ID4 Tele, regardless of the sensor)
    • Fixed live photo resolution selection
    • Optimized application and processing speed.

    -- README --

'Exposure Compensation' (the 'White Sun' icon on the ViewFinder) is OFF by default. If your shots are too bright, just ENABLE it ('Blue Sun') and the exposure will be lowered.

'HDR+Enhanced' mode is disabled by default, which allows for instant shots to be captured and some faster image processing as well. Just enable it in the 'Quick Settings' and increase the 'Exposure Time' (long-press the gallery icon) if you need some (slightly) higher image quality results.

Unfortunately, there is no dedicated Color & WB profiles for our ID4 (InfraRed) sensor. I've tried many options, but none would provide the exact same results as what you see on the viewfinder before capturing the shot. You can still get close to it, in some way, by disabling 'AWB' when using this sensor.

    Have Fun :)

🌟 Here is a minor update of my custom profile (V2.9) for latest LMC R12 GCam 💥 https://ufile.io/pdnjtjyo (APK + XML)

    [ PW: NiCkAM8PRO-for-XDA ]

    -- CHANGELOG --

    • Better detailed shots from the main back camera thanks to a different noise profile, as well as some tweaks in the RamPatcher area.

    -- README --

    • It is recommended to use the normal shooting mode for almost all photographic situations (even low-light scenarios), and the Night mode exclusively for almost completely dark scenes.

    • Default Shutter speed is set at 1/20s. Low-Light & Night shots may require a longer shutter speed, which you can manually adjust by long-pressing the 'gallery icon' on the lower-right of the viewfinder.

    • When shooting high-contrast scenes, my advice is to manually touch the viewfinder on your zone-of-interest, before you capture the shot.

    • Keep in mind that this custom profile includes some exposure compensation that you can activate by pressing the SUN icon on the upper-right of the viewfinder.

    - BLUE SUN (Exposure Compensation ON --> Darker!) should fit:
Low-Light / Night, Indoor, Macro and more (feel free to experiment)

    - WHITE SUN (Exposure Compensation OFF / Default --> Brighter!):
People, Large Outdoor Scenes, Landscape, Architecture...

    Have Fun! :)

    🌟 Custom XML NiCkAM8PRO V1.3 for LMC R11 Lite (APK + XML): https://ufile.io/aw8ang35 💥
    [ PW: NiCkAM8PRO-for-XDA ]

    -- README --

3 custom profiles are provided: 'Authentic, Boosted, Colorful'. Each one progressively increases brightness and saturation, to fit different scenarios and user preferences .

Which one should you use? It's as simple as A-B-C!
You might consider 'Authentic' for close-up shots and when using Night Mode, 'Colorful' for landscape and high-contrast outdoor scenes, and finally 'Boosted' profile for various other situations (this one is somewhere between 'Authentic' & 'Colorful'). I'd also advise users to manually focus on their zone-of-interest for high-contrast scenes.

Finally, keep in mind there is no absolute rule for which profile you should use, as it really comes down to user preferences and photographic conditions.

    -- CHANGELOG --

A few tiny improvements have been made in the Dev settings, to maximize anything compatible with our device.

Ultra-Wide shots should also be less noisy (compared to previous release) as well as sharper (well, don't keep your expectations too high, as this sensor is weaker than back main one).

Tonal curves have been slightly optimized.

    🌟 Custom XML NiCkAM8PRO V1.4 for LMC R11 Lite (APK + XML): https://ufile.io/kj9des7i 💥
    [ PW: NiCkAM8PRO-for-XDA ]

I'd also advise users to manually focus on their zone-of-interest for high-contrast scenes.

For night shots and (very) low-light photography, I'd advise you long-press the gallery icon, on the viewfinder, and select a longer exposure time / lower ISO, as well as increase the number of HDR frames from 'Auto' to 15, or even 27 if you can be steady for a moment.

Finally, keep in mind there is no absolute rule for which profile you should use, as it really comes down to user preferences and photographic conditions.

    -- CHANGELOG --

Slight improvements in the Ultra-Wide department. Gamma curves for 'Boosted' and 'Colorful' have been modified, and saturation levels were adjusted accordingly. Brightness for each of the 3 back lenses, for each profile, has been optimized. Auto Night Mode has also been turned ON (can be easily disabled upon your preferences).

    Enjoy! :)

    🌟 Custom XML NiCkAM8PRO V2.8 for LMC R12 (APK + XML): https://ufile.io/wy6yic2h 💥
    [ PW: NiCkAM8PRO-for-XDA ]

    -- README --

This release offers the option to upscale the shots. If you activate the 'RES' icon on the lower-left side of the viewfinder, you will get 48MP on the Main, Tele & UW back sensors, 20MP on the 'IR' sensor, and 16MP for the front/selfie camera. You could get a bit more detailed shots, but keep in mind it is just some (artificial) upscaling. Still, it might be interesting to use in some specific scenarios.

For night shots and (very) low-light photography, I'd advise you long-press the gallery icon, on the viewfinder, and select a longer exposure time / lower ISO, as well as increase the number of HDR frames from 'Auto' to 15, or even 27 if you can be steady for a moment.

Don't forget to make use of the EXPOSURE COMPENSATION icon (the 'Sun' icon at the top-right of the viewfinder). Make sure you activate it (blue icon), mostly for INDOOR/CLOSEUP shots, and disable it (white icon) for LANDSCAPE/OUTDOOR shots, otherwise you'll get either too bright or too dark results.

    -- APP CHANGELOG --

    • Choice of lens logic
    • Upscale / Downscale
    • Manual input of Color correction, noise models, white balance.
    • New options in the test patcher
    • Updated tooltips, styles, buttons, etc. Added ways to support development.
    • Fixed noise and stability issues on all interfaces
    • Fixed auto-detection of the lens logic (Previously there was always ID4 Tele, regardless of the sensor)
    • Fixed live photo resolution selection
    • Optimized application and processing speed.

    Enjoy! :)

[ Edit: I noticed some luma noise when using Night Mode. I'll try to have a look at it and fix the issue in a later release. ]

🌸🌞 NiCkAM8PRO V6.4 Custom Profiles (for OP8Pro) - B.S.G Google Camera 🌞🌸

😻 Hello XDA buddies and GCAM lovers 🔥

A new version of B.S.G Google Camera mod was released ('GV1u'), which fixes some annoying bug with our device (Changelog: Fixed a bug when saving photos on devices whose raw format resolution is not 4/3 or 16/9, like Redmi Note8-9 Pro, OP8Pro and others).

    🌟DOWNLOAD (APK + Custom Profiles): https://ufile.io/2xx4arec 🌟

It is advised to completely UNINSTALL the previous version (clear cache and data before you proceed), then install this new V8.1 "GV1u" edition.

Of course, as always, this new App version comes with my own custom 'Profiles', available in 3 different flavors ('Fine', 'HQ' and 'Night'), depending on what mix of Quality / Speed you wish to achieve. They are the result of some very personal choices regarding saturation, contrast, colors, brightness, exposure...), so in case they do not match yours, just take them as a base and adapt them to your needs and preferences.

    💖 NiCkAM8PRO V6.4 Custom Profiles for B.S.G - Changelog & Advice:

✅ 3 Custom Profiles based on different Exposure Time ('Speed') and HDR frames (Warning: Be STEADY when using 'Night' profile and for 'HQ' mode -in low light- as well!).
✅ Optimized White Balance and Noise Profiles for our OnePlus 8 Pro, for all lenses.
✅ RamPatcher areas have been carefully set for natural results, yet slightly enhanced saturation/contrasts/details.
✅ Face Retouch (Level-1) and Face Detect set 'ON' for all lenses, Back & Front.
✅ Astrophotography works fine, just remember to set a Timer in order to avoid blurry pics!
✅ Front camera settings are set for natural colors (i.e: with saturation kept at reasonable levels), still with some details. However, keep in mind that any GCAM app will take pictures at 4MP only (instead of 16MP with stock app) when using the Front Lens of our OP8 Pro (a limitation that cannot be currently overcome).
✅Exposure was willingly kept at reasonable levels, which allows for truer, more realistic pictures, closer to what you really see, and maintains more details in the pictures at the same time (less blown-out zones). If that's not your preference, simply adjust Exposure Compensation in the Settings > Modules, or in post-processing.
✅ Developer settings are carefully selected, to offer as many functions as possible for our device, with some good stability.
✅ AWB is automatically turned ON when using 'Night' profile. If using any other profile in dark / night situation, or under some artificial lights, just remember to set Auto White-Balance 'ON' to avoid unpleasant results.
✅ Social Share functions are activated on all profiles, for easy file sharing, as well as being a useful indicator for when your pictures have been fully processed by the app. Let the app finish its processing work before switching to another lens!
✅ In some situation (i.e under some harsh lighting conditions), it is advised to manually set your point of focus, as well as your exposure, using the dedicated slider.

⚠️🙏This custom profiles pack is a result of countless hours of work, so please, do not share it anywhere else without permission, and even more importantly, give credit to its creator. Thank you, and have fun with it! 🙏⚠️

A tiny little update for 'B.S.G GCam profiles pack' that might fix some noise artefacts in some low-light scenarios. If you are fine with previous V5.1, then it's fine, if not, you could try this one :)
    8
    Hello buddies,

Currently in a short trip but I have some good news for you; Greatness developer managed to publish a new version of his Google Camera Mod, oriented toward the OnePlus 7, 8 and 9 series, with AUX support (yes, Wide & Tele work perfectly on it!), Face Retouch as well, low noise, nice picture, OIS stabilization when taking shots, and much more...

Greatness Modified Google Camera V8.2, with NiCkAM8PRO V1.2 Profile: https://ufile.io/7z7fgpch

    1) MAKE SURE YOU FULLY UNINSTALL any other Google Camera app that you may have on your phone before installing this one. ALSO COPY THE 'CONFIGS8' FOLDER in my zip file inside of your (preexisting or not) GCAM folder of your phone storage.

    2) First time you start the App, grant the needed privileges, then go to the Settings, Advanced, scroll down then select XML Configs, and click the top option with the yellow sign, which should allow the app to 'read/write' custom profile configuration files on your device.

    3) Go back to the main GCam screen, then DOUBLE-PRESS the black area AROUND the SHUTTER button, this will allow you to LOAD my XML configuration file.

    4) Select it, then ENJOY this great mod!

Took me some time to set this one up, but here it is... Hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I do! :)
