My guess is the price point.
Higher price - less people buy it in total. I can assume that fewer users mean fewer developers, and less interest when the market for your ROM is smaller.

If there's a technical explanation, I'd be glad to learn.

Ya its a shame... I did not thought this when i bought it.
I love this phone, really... But im close to say goodbye to it and Xiaomi 🙏🏻
To be honest the mi11 u was a total mess. Still has heating issues, battery is running empty as soon as you unlock the device, camera ist still way under its potential and so on. This was my 10th Xiaomi but definitely the last one. I don't want a phone which performs good on paper only. 💪 1200€ for such a disappointment

The mi11 u is crap and anybody who says differently has never used a good phone.

The gn2 is beaten by the gn1 in vivo devices, the s21u has 5000 mAh too but lasts like 3 hours more, the s21u has the better zoom, software on the global version takes weeks for a security update, the tiny display on the rear still can't be used for video calls or filming, etc.

Software is the biggest Probleme on Global devices tho because Xiaomi thought it is a good idea to throw 2000 devices on the market.

Xiaomi promised so much but delivered nothing.

I happen to like my 11 Ultra, but that's an *drumroll* opinion! We're all entitled to one.
And this isn't even the topic. We're discussing the lack of roms and possible reasons for it - I'm sure that there are threads about personal opinions and thoughts.

Even if you don't like a certain device, please respect the fact that some of the people here spent money on it, don't come here with the intent of having their choices bashed and specifically for this thread - looking for ways to improve their experience. No need to shove anyone's nose into anything.

Used S21 plus, moved to Mi 11U then bought Fold 3 cause used MI 11 U too long ( 6 months) , back to Mi 11U now. I am using xiaomi.eu stable 13 version and very satisfy with it. Sorry for my bad English.

THREAD CLEANED & LOCKED

Hi all - just a friendly reminder to keep it civil, on-topic and refrain from putting fuel to fire by responding to posts that you think are offensive or hateful. Just report if you feel something isn't right and let us take care of it for you, so that we can make your experience on the forum better. :)

@hungragezone @hotto1996 It doesn't matter who started it, if you replied to it instead of reporting, you're equally at fault. May I remind you both of Rule 2 of the Forum Rules:
2. Member conduct.

2.1
Language: XDA is a worldwide community. As a result, what may be OK to say in your part of the world, may not be OK elsewhere. Please don't direct profanity, sexually explicit language or other offensive content toward Members or their work. Conversely, while reading posts from other members, remember that the word you find offensive may not be offensive to the writer. Tolerance is a two-way street.

2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It is unacceptable to post nude or pornographic imagery, which includes the exposure of male or female genitalia and / or female breasts.

2.3 Flaming / Lack of respect: XDA is about sharing and this does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) or rudeness. Flaming or posting with a lack of respect is unacceptable. Treat new members in the manner in which you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instructions when you can, showing them respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.

2.4 Personal attacks, racial, political and / or religious discussions: XDA is a discussion forum about certain mobile phones. Mobile phones are not racial, political, religious or personally offensive and therefore, none of these types of discussions are permitted on XDA.

2.5 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.

Now let's all take a deep breath, and get back on topic, shall we? But not in this thread. It will remain closed as a thread for this topic already exists: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/why-is-there-no-sign-of-a-custom-rom.4304301/. Please use the existing thread for continuing discussion.

well i have a fund raising for a dev to get a Mi 11 Pro (shares the same development as Ultra) but it's not that active. Did the same for Mi 10 Community and ROMs were shared after some months like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-11-0-umi-project-404-rippa-official-28-11-2020.4196093/
