I don't know why ROM's don't support ad-hoc networks.

Try using Wifi Adhoc enabler (from market/play)- just make sure you've got the prerequisites (e.g. busybox).

@hep i've backported usb drivers from 3.0 kernel so also USB tethering should work tomorrow i will upload fixes on my github. also if you want to fix offline charging use in init.qcom.rc in first line

on boot-pause

to fix offline charging. Later i'll pass you the init.rc file that also fix market problems.

btw i'm working to a camera hal....seems quite good it negotiates with kernel..... i will upload also this on my github. friday my friend will lend me the optimus one for one day so i have time to test

For charger mode:
boot-pause was changed in ics. It is working on your test build, because you are using ginbgerbread init binary.

On ics it replaced by:
on charger
class_start charger

This triggers charger class when entered charge mode, and this patch is required.

Anyway, I will implement it when Ricardo implemented it.

The features working (kgsl, adreno, genlock, fb, data limit, libaudio) was back ported from 3.0 by lupo, adfad and me. So, this rom is the mixture of 2.6.35 and 3.0...

What is the magic of big numbers? Is it stable? No. Is is suitable for armv6? No...

2.6.35. is the best kernel for armv6 chipsets...
Because msm7x27 chipset hasn't supported yet in v3.0... This is the end of life armv6, We are trying to get live it, but you are criticizing us...

It's not entirely true, caf msm 3.0 kernel has qdsp5 support, so basicly it should support our phone, biggest problem however are the kernelchanges from LG in the msm 2.6.35 kernel.
A few of us (Adfad666, Woglinde from Optimus GT540-thread and myself) are working on porting the lg-specific changes to the 3.0 kernel. Woglinde already has a partly working 3.0 kernel for GT540, but lots of things are to be done.

But you are correct, armv6 is EOL and to get new kernels for it we have to port armv6 stuff from older kernels to 3.0 kernel. So basicly that kernel is also a mixture of 2.6.35 and 3.0.

BTW,
this release feels more smooth as your older releases

Smoothest ROM ever, this raises the bar for performance (lighter tasks, not games) and smoothness, it is just amazing!!!
Oh and it has the latest CM updates (including the cool "different volumes for headphones and speaker" patch) and also DSP manager works, 25MB/s SD card read, and more, without any OC...
