If I were you, I would:
  • Do a complete reflash with stock Odin
  • Install TWRP recovery (with the all-in-one tool pertaining to your S4 variant)
  • Do a full factory reset/wipe. (NOT FORMAT)
  • Flash this rom and the mods of your choice
my s4 is no variant.
moreover don't have warranty & had fully fresh rom.
Now please advise the full process & what i have to do. More over is that also a pure andriod version from Google which jut released now.

Read the original post. There are many variants of the S4. I think you may need to do some more reading and research.

Edit: Also, this is the version that was released. (JWR66V)

Contrary to other feedbacks I do experience high battery usage. Google Services are very active taking a lot of wakelocks for no reason at all...

I'm getting a wake lock from Google Services as well. 15h on battery, google services is at the top with 31% and 13 hours of keep awake time. Madness! Anyone have a solution yet?

I'll have to check this. If there is an issue, I'm sure that Google will address it soon since JWR66V is officially rolling out. Keep checking for app updates.

Interesting update. I was showing a friend for laughs and the 2nd voicemail I listened to was normal and now tested all normal since. Odd it was just the first one that was in slow motion.

Thank you for this build again.

Unfortunately battery drain is unbearable.
Approx 2h of screen time and 12h of total up time and my battery is at 7%.

It can't be the final release...

Thanks for the feedback. On my end, I seem to be getting great battery life. This build is actually rolling out as the OTA for Nexus devices.

Edit: Have you checked any apps running in the background for battery drain? I've even kept my device idle overnight without charging at 50% and still had a decent amount in the morning.

To have the AOSP browser should I install the version for Android 4.2.2 like on Touchwiz Rom or should I install another version? Can someone give me a link please?

I redad the hole thread and I would know how to "Disable stock recovery flash" because I have CWM. Thanks.

The flashable aosp browser is in the original post...

Edit: it was! I will add it back. Must have been deleted when I was editing with the "xda premium app" in the beginning. Thanks for alerting me.

Security Vulnerabilities & other functions from 422

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am about to get an i9505 and I intend to flash 4.3 straight away. Is "Multi Window" allowing a split window still in this ROM? What about the new customizable notification panel? Also importantly have the two recent security vulnerabilities that have been reported been patched in this new 4.3 ROM?

The security issue has been since taken care of and patched by Google. As far as the notification panel, you'll have to use something like "Notification Toggle" from the Play Store which works great. There is no "Multi-Window" option because that is only a stock TouchWiz feature.

You would need the deodex ROM to do mods like that. This is stock vanilla, not to be confused with the AOSP Cyanogenmod ROM. So you wont have the "kill all" option, can't add tiles, and you dont have reboot options by default. Yes, its normal to only have the power down option. Try "Notification Toggle" from the app store to give you the shutdown menu in your notifications if you're rooted.
