Hi,
I recently installed the 10.1.3 and I love the stability of the ROM. I recently tried to read some magazines on the Nook & I'm facing a peculiar problem where I cannot open any PDF files, EPUB or even Video files. I tried putting the files on the Nook memory and the SD Card too. All Apps (Aldiko, MX Player, etc.) return back the error "Could not load file".

I can't seem to understand what could be the problem here. All files work well on the computer, but nothing on the nook. Could it be a file permission restriction?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I can't help but I am also running 10.1.3 and don't have your issues. I didn't change any settings other than for the launcher. Could there be a problem with the gapps version you installed?

Sent from my BN Nook HD using xda app-developers app

Open the web browser and if you can read a normal pdf and view a video from youtube then your files are simply not compatible.

Suppose they could be getting corrupted. You didn't say if you tried them from the computer via the sdcard.

I transferred the files from the computer to the internal memory and the SD card, but to no avail. It says "Video could not be loaded" or "File could not be loaded", if a pdf does load - it usually comes as a blank white screen.

How do I check if I have installed the correct Gapps version? I did try and open a pdf from the web browser, I faced the same problem.

Go into Google play and download "Foxit MobilePdf". You should be golden.

[I may have forgotten earlier, that possibly all mobile web browser's can't view pdf files, or at least the one(s) you have can't do so. For instance, Firefox downloads them, but can't view them. You would still need a viewer, which I think you never installed one on android and hence your problem.]
