Notification led working?

Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
Actually I installed it on my ultra and had my text message me and the green led popped on. Its not pretty but I guess it will have to do until we can figure out the whole active display and no I'm not using 3rd party for that because it uses the whole screen

Updating my Mini issues list.

  • LED Indicator doesn't work (green light comes on when locked and plugged in)
  • No sound from external speaker (all other sound appears to work)
  • Defaults to software nav bar, duplicating hardware nav bar
This can be solved by adding this to /system/build.prop
    qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
  • Some app stability issues (infrequent crashes)
  • Battery stats info doesn't completely work (wakelock detector seems to see app wakelocks, but can't see statistics)
wakelock detector updated, all works now
  • NFC payment possibly doesn't work (this may or may not be an issue as I had literally just set it up and tried it wtihout verifying my NFC config first, but NFC was on and wallet was enabled, more testing needed)
  • USB OTG seems to only be semi-functional. I'm able to mount a device, format it, etc, but I can't seem to copy files to it.
turns out this was an issue with the app I was using. If using x-plore, try es explorer
  • Bluetooth A2DP seems to work pretty well, but metadata support through AVRCP seems to be completely missing. The control part of AVRCP seems to be mostly functional.
Update: AVRCP metadata support seems to be intermittent. It randomly started working while driving in to work today.

Still testing various things as I can. Performance seems good. Battery life seems good. Overall, I'm happier with this than I was with stock.

Were you plugged in when this happened? I have been going back and forth with the dev of lightflow to see if we can get some support for our phones.

I know you say led notification doesn't work. And it's also true that active notifications don't either right?

The phone wasn't plugged it. I had my wife send me a second one and it did the same. When I hit the power button the light went off

Checked it earlier in the week, and nothing. I don't think anyone is working on it.

I want to use cm11 so bad as I'm a big fan of it. Active notifications doesn't work and my previous assumption of the led didn't work only with the battery

I haven't updated in some days due to being overextended for work. I'll try updating today and see where we're at.

Updated list for Mini:

  • LED Indicator doesn't work (green light comes on when locked and plugged in)
  • No sound from external speaker (all other sound appears to work)
  • Defaults to software nav bar, duplicating hardware nav bar
This can be solved by adding this to /system/build.prop
    qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
  • Some app stability issues (infrequent crashes)
These seem to have pretty much disappeared
  • NFC payment do not work (subsequent attempts have all failed since initial testing)
  • Bluetooth A2DP seems to work pretty well, but metadata support through AVRCP seems to be completely missing. The control part of AVRCP seems to be mostly functional.
It randomly started working while driving in to work one day.

It seems dev work is pretty much stalled on this series of phones. I've got a working Android build environment I've been tinkering with here and there so I may try to pick up on some of this. A couple of items look like they may be easy fixes, while others may be beyond my knowledge/ability.

I've been periodically updating and seeing no changes to the defects I've posted. Additionally, it appears the maintainer for this device has abandoned it, which is a shame.

I'm about ready to write this off as a loss. I wish I had the time to devote to this.

It's really looking like if I want to use a device that gets a good amount of cyanogen support, I'll have to buy a small tablet (5+" phone).

CM11 Droid Mini patch

Download: cm11_droid-mini_patch.zip

Install zip with recovery.

Changes: added forgotten obakem libs (sound works now, may be something else too), replaced build.prop (turned off software buttons and insterted model number). If you want to repair only sound without changing build.prop install patch below.

For other unified MSM8960DT ROMs Droid Mini sound patch

Download: MSM8960dt_droid-mini_sound_patch.zip.

Install zip with recovery.

I have some free time coming up and was just thinking about putting something like this together. I have a working android build environment (been making some other builds) so I might check out the repos and see about patching things in and submitting a pull request.

I'll check this out and report back how it works.

Edit: Works for me. Will have to do more testing to see what this clears off of my list.

Edit 2: Wifi and bluetooth are broken with this patch. Which doesn't make sense because I can't find the reason based on what I see in the zip.

Edit 3: Rebooted again and wifi and bluetooth came back.
