Before flashing anything, I would like to know which source did you have used? Did you just extracted them from the latest MIUI Developer Global ROM?

Nevermind, yolo, I flashed this and works surprisingly very good, it also fixed my camera focus on abhishek CM 14.1 
What benefit we can get from this newer firmware? Please, if you can describe it, it would be much more useful, and we can expect newer firmware will be updated.
Better signal strength on LTE on EU bands, better camera quality and also autofocus bug fixed!
funny situation. I flashed kenzo 14.1 firmware onto RR5.8.0. Phone booted. I typed in PIN code but that's it. Sensor doesnt read my finger, but what is funny is, it even doesnt recognize my security pattern... now what? Is ROM reflash sufficient? I guess I have no options, so let's check.... hmmm
delete locksetting.db and *.key file at /data/system folder.
actually firmware on OP is miui 6.11.24 firmware with deleted emmc_appsboot.mbn file.
just curious why OP didn't explain anything about this firmware and just ask us to believe.
p.s. starting N launch for this device, i already using miui 6.10.13 firmware + miui 8.0.6.0 modem file.

I'm using this firmware in cm14.1 by Abhishek and facing low signal strength :3 though it doesn't bother me that much..

I am using this firmware with RR 5.8.0 and solved me a few of issues: battery percentage won't work, autofocus won't work and i had low signal strenght. Now is working everything. I can suggest you to do a clean flash or switch to RR.
FYI, if your device is encrypted, either remove TZ and KEYMASTER MBN files from the package or back up and restore them after updating. These are the TrustZone firmwares which hold the keys and seeds, etc... for FDE.
Is that firmware patch overwritten during ROM flash or not. I am asking because before I unlocked BL and started with custom ROMs I was on official global 8.0.6.0 miui which should have included latest firmware,right?

Afaik the only difference between Kate and Kenzo is the modem. then why are there 2 different firmwares.... Or is the modem file in those firmwares the difference?
Is there an update for CM13 firmware? Im using old version by TheStrix but i get network issue, poor signal receive & sometimes internet is unstable on latest MM rom
