After unknowingly upgrading to CM13 from CM12.1 I had to go through several days of troubleshooting and trying to find a correct solution to get the network side working right. At one point I had an app installed that showed that post the APN 2.2 fix I was connected to the cell network and everything should be good. Nonetheless as soon as I disconnect from wifi everything connecting to the internet went dead. I tried both the CM13 (I was sticking with CM13 since it fixed my original issue of no camera/light) from Cyanogenmod and one found here or on another forum.

But as luck would have it I stumbled on a dumb-sounding but working solution.
After installing CM13, apply the GApps, apply the APN 2.2 fix, reboot and let everything settle down. Then reboot into recovery again and reflash CM13 and GApps. Seems that the APN 2.2 fix makes some change somewhere that prevents the network from running on LTE like it should but a reflash corrects that.

It really annoys me that after installing CM12.1 a few weeks ago and deciding to update to a nightly to fix the camera issue I'm suddenly on CM13 instead without warning and following the update channel method that is recommended .... but what are you gonna do?
