CM7 crashed my phone!

so i noticed CM7 randomly restarted my phone twice and the second time it wont boot. i managed to get 2.2 stock on the phone but i cant install CWM to reflash. i rooted it and enabled nonmarket but idk what to do now. Rom manager is on now.

help is appreciated! Also does anyone know why this happened?

rom manager doesn't work for 2.2 on the captivate. You will want to flash a kernel with odin or heimdall that already has clockwork recovery baked into it. If you look through the sticky threads you will find the info you need.

Thanks, ill keep looking through the stickies. ive used cwm on my 2.2 when i had it stock the first time.

Of you manage to get cwm on your device, you should check out docs Master ROM. It's legit! The swype keyboard is freaking cool!

lets forget to tell him that half the drivers dont work in docs build..... he hasnt had enough time to iron out all the bugs yet.

Thanks for helping guys, I had backups of my SD cards from the past so i used an older update.zip with CWM on it and it worked! i was able to get my phone back to normal and its on the same cyanogen7.1. hopefully it wont happen again, this build is supposed to be stable!!! lol
