Nope, there are ROMs based on TW gingerbread though,I personally have never used them though.

Ah.. Haven't looked at the kernel sources yet. There are no gb sources only ics and up am I right?

Looks good enough to build. What toolchain did you use?

Hi victorator,

If you can pull this off mate, you will be a LEGEND!!!!

I too am after summit like this, and I have trailled all over the forums trying to find ANY kind of GB rom that I can flash/install via CWM.

But so far all the links are either dead, or point towards viruses now!!!

If you can make a clean CM7, or know any decent GB roms that I can look into and rip parts of the TW out... that would be AMAZING!!!!

Is there any development, news on this pure CM7 rom for our Note's???

I know your working hard on newer roms, but would be cool to have a retro rom too.. Especially as I gained my Note later on, so missed out on all the Gingerbread roms... and having loved CM7 on my ZTE Blade. Would be cool to see what its like on N7000 too...

Hey man,
I'm sorry but I don't think I will be able to get CM7 running. Back in the day CM used a prebuilt kernel file. That's why I won't be able to compile it myself as they haven't put out the kernel for it.

I would love to give CM7 a go on the note as well but I don't have enough knowledge on the subject to get it to work.

Hi All,

Still think this would be an awesome feat, if ever it did come to our Notes. Sure it's old, sure... No one will prolly use it much afterwards anyway...

But heck, a lot of us grew up on what was the first main CM build (excluding CM6?? lol) aka, CM7 (Gingerbread).

Does anyone have the skills to help @victorator or others, get past the kernel issue and help build a CM7 rom. Apparently (although cannot confirm myself) that the S2 phone had a CM7, and "apparently" similar hardware...

Anyone got the know-how, to make this happen....??

It would appear CM7 for the N7000 already exists.... and it was developed here, by someone on this very forum... But I have been searching high and low for it, and I canny find it....

Does anyone know who did it, or it's where abouts... Or those, who had this device in the early days still have a copy of it floating around on their HDD that they could re-upload?? As it seems the link in the source site, is now dead...
