Since we are on the topic of wifi, is mine the only one being a pain to connect ? It seems that when I try to enable wifi through the notification widget, it doesn't connect. If I go through the settings/wireless and networks menu it connects, but not as fast as beta2.

Currently running Ba2tF with Faux's kernel ( not overclocked ). No factory reset and installed over previous stable beta. Caches were wiped. Can't remember if I fixed permissions, but I don't think it would help this any.

edit: After letting it try to connect for 5 minutes I usually give up and turn it off ( again in the notification widget ). If I try again it will connect, usually in around 30 seconds.

Like...everyday, I learn something new!

So...pardon my stupidness but really...Nightly, Weekly... Are these just different teams going in different directions? Or is it that the Olympus isnt a popular enough phone to be subjected to nightly s?

Serious stuff..

i think that the weeklies are just the atrix dev team? stuff that will be included in their releases and are more specific to our device.

well, what i personally think the difference is, is that Nightlies include ALL changes to CM7, which also includes changes for our device that Turl merges with CM source.

the weeklies on the otherhand, include experimental bug fixes from the Atrix Dev Team, and is based off their github (which is technically a KANG)

so, the nightlies are official nightlies from CM7, and the weeklies are KANGs from the ADT's source.

they're both fully functional copies of CM7, it's just a matter of where they came from.

(just like Marko above, this isn't 100% definite, just what i understand from what i've read)

Basically you said it all. Weeklies are built once a week and are based on our tree. They might contain atrix specific fixes that are not yet merged into the main CM tree (for example, Dock audio support isn't merged yet, but the current weekly build has support for it)

On the other hand, CM nightlies are built from the CM source code every night. They might contain newer code and fixes for non-atrix specific stuff that weeklies didn't get yet.

I'm on the Ba2tF CM7 and I was wondering if there is any way at all to get a working stock Motoblur Keyboard apk to install on here? I searched EVERYWHERE and people say they want it but no one comes up with an answer.

i read that and it made me hesitant to change i found that it really mad no difference in battery life, if anything it got better
Took the plunge. Now on .33p. Certainly seems to be faster ( data wise ) and only took 1 min to connect. Not quite as fast as previous beta, but certainly acceptable. Time will tell about the battery.

The answer is "NO" .... anything Motoblur will not work with native CM7. There are many keyboards available if you don't like the CM7 keyboard. Personally, I use TouchPal, but others use Swiftkey and Thumb as replacements for the stock CM7 keyboard.

How to go to a different ROM from CM7??

I am having major intermittent data and FCs of apps on CM7 stable version and would like to switch to a more stable ROM like Aura or just go back to stock. When I open recovery thru rom manager and then select the Aura zip is starts the process ok, then says a bunch of stuff and then just reboots right back into CM7....PLEASE HELP!!!

Built-in Keyboard in Settings.

Hey everyone...

I have a 'strange' issue and would love your inputs and help. I installed the B-N stopgap version of CM7.1 for the Atrix and its amazing. Has been the best thing I did to my phone.

Then I flashed faux's 1.3Ghz kernel (0.20 for CM7.1) and noticed that my phone now has a new setting entry under Language and Keyboard: Built-in keyboard (see img).

I don't mind this new entry, but now CM7 thinks I have a built-in keyboard and the keyboard is not pulled up automatically as it used to be (on the stock CM kernel) whenever text input is required. (like creating a new text, searching,etc...). I don't mind either the additional step in touching the input field to show the keyboard, but I though someone can help me figure out a solution.

I did all my installations after wiping cache, dalviks, partitioning data and resets to fact. settings.

Thank you!
