scrchngwsl,

Thanks! I indeed have access to the Market but I discarded that as I couldn't find Google Maps on it. I realized it could be due to a local market issue so I tried using Market Enabler to switch to AT&T market (us) and Orange Market (denmark), sounded like a good bet, and couldn't find Google Maps. I wasn't very creative, just typed maps and google maps.

I tried again from ROM Manager and this time, the phone did reboot, get into CWM and install the things by itself... and no change after reboot. I was really hopeful for a moment :(
Perhaps try signing in to the google market and downloading it from here

Hey guys,

are you having "lag" when scrolling through lists like the contacts list, call log?

I thought it was a problem with the kernel...I used faux 1.45ghz kernel and this problem persisted. I raised the heap memory to 64m and still had the issue. Now I´m using Clemsis´ kernel and still have the problem :(

I even used supercharged script :/

Does anyone have this same "issue"?
My brother in law has a Galaxy Ace and when u scroll through lists, it scrolls flawlessly :(

Tips? Solutions??

Thanks :)

Tbh, I have so little lag that I can't even say for sure that it is lag. Scrolling through contacts (with swiping) fast is smooth as butter.
I'm on ba2tf with newest faux 1 gig

Reverting Back to Stock from CM7?

I am using an Atrix 4g 2.3.4 (bootloader unlocked, obviously) with romracer's recovery. Before I installed CM7 I had backed up my Rooted Atrix GB Rom.

I just wanted to ask, is it safe to restore that backup?

No doubt ppl will shudder at why I'd want to do this.... but to clarify, I just got a 50$ BNIB lapdock on AT&T site and I would love to use webtop on it.

Also can flashing 2 fruitcakes instead of restoring the backup do the trick?

Thanks for answering my n00b question (in advance)

Yes, your backup will be fine (as long as you included /osh). Although I'm pretty sure that if you didn't format /osh when installing CM7 it should have been untouched.

Fruitcakes will work too. Good luck!

Resgoring a backup you made in recovery should he safe!

About two days after I installed Cm7 (which was two weeks ago) I flashed a new radio and everything was great. Yesterday my phone stopped connecting to wifi, it detects it but wont obtain IP. I tried reflashing the radio and wiping cache but it hasn't worked.
I would like to fix this and not have to reinstall until a new version is available, any one has any ideas?

Hi,

I am enjoying CM7 alot, but I had some questions:

1. Is there a way to change the font of the lockscreen? I do not like the font very much compared with ASOP.

2. Is there a way to increase the size of the lockscreen music/sound widget? The buttons seem very small and hard to touch.

3. Is there a way to increase the size of the touch keyboard (default or Gingerbread keyboard)? I have a very hard time typing with such small key buttons, or do I have to hunt for a 3rd party market keyboard?

Thanks all.

Since we are on the topic of wifi, is mine the only one being a pain to connect ? It seems that when I try to enable wifi through the notification widget, it doesn't connect. If I go through the settings/wireless and networks menu it connects, but not as fast as beta2.

Currently running Ba2tF with Faux's kernel ( not overclocked ). No factory reset and installed over previous stable beta. Caches were wiped. Can't remember if I fixed permissions, but I don't think it would help this any.

edit: After letting it try to connect for 5 minutes I usually give up and turn it off ( again in the notification widget ). If I try again it will connect, usually in around 30 seconds.
I am also having trouble connecting to Wifi sometimes, it will always be "Scanning" or "Obtaining IP Address" even though I have entered the correct network and password. My number of channels is set at 11 and my sleep policy is "Never when plugged in". Seems to happen 1-2 times a day. I may have to switch to another ROM, too bad I really like everything else about CM7.

Strange bug on Nightly #20 (I also have Faux's 1.3GHz if that changes anything).

When I am out of battery plug it in and boot it up, my carrier shows up as T-Mobile (when it is supposed to be AT&T)? Not sure if it is important or means anything, it only happens when my battery is at 1% but once it is at 2%, it switches to AT&T. Don't care as long as it doesn't cost me anything, just mentioning.

ALSO, this strange process called "Suspend" starts up whenever my phone goes into standby. It takes up about 40% of my CPU (according to Watchdog Lite) and drains a TON of battery. I get superior battery life when my screen is on rather than off. Is there any way to stop this process from using so much energy (maybe limiting it down to 5% or something)?

CM7 WITH Fingerprint Scanner

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have searched everywhere and can not find a solution. I do believe this is already a recognized problem, just wondering if anyone knows of a work around.

I am currently running the CM7 with fingerprint scanner preview, and having problems with the audio.

I know, it's a test build, bugs are expected, etc. The thing is though, except for this one bug I have barely any issues. I love it! The fingerprint scanner was the one thing I was waiting for.

I use the cardock every day, and once the sound wouldn't play through it but every other time it works. Perfectly willing to deal with a once in a while no music drive. I also have the home dock, but I only use it to charge.

Intermittently (EDIT: at least once / twice a day. I would deal with it if it was once in a week like the cardock), when the phone is docked and / or removed, the audio seems to be stuck in some weird mode where it will not play through the phone speakers. The only fixes I have found is to reboot the phone, or plug / unplug a pair of headphones.

Does anyone have any pointers that could lead me in the right direction? Maybe a process I can restart with tasker, or a way to keep it from happening? I love this build, but if I keep missing calls and notifications it's not gonna work.

EDIT 2: Just found out that plugging in headphones and unplugging doesn't cut it. I have to actually start an app (in my case pandora) play music, and then unplug them.

Well, I know this probably isn't exactly what you're looking for, but instead of looking for a process to restart, why not just do a hot reboot? with CM a hot reboot takes ~5 seconds, which could be just as fast as going through your list of processes, IMO

if you don't know how to hot reboot, you can download rom toolbox and under rebooter pick quick reboot and in a few seconds itll reload most the operating system

good luck:)

Is there a way to increase the size/length of the keyboard? It is really hard to type with the default keyboard at the current size.

Audio After Car Dock Removal

I've got the exact same issue, rebooting fixes it. Any word on what the actual problem is? Or a fix that does not involve rebooting? Thanks guys.
