Ugh, that seems like a very ugly hack. How about any keyboards in the market that are better/bigger than the default CM7 one?

PIN wipe?

Does CM7 and/or Android have a default for the number of times you can enter your PIN to unlock your screen before it automatically wipes the phone or locks you out? I'm looking at the feature that disables the need to click "ok" after entering the PIN - and it indicates that "delete" then adds to the number of "tries" you are allowed, but I can't find any documentation on the numbers of permitted tries before getting locked out.

THANK YOU!

Back button rejects incoming call

I have just discovered that my many missed calls were actually caused by my touching the "back" button as I pull the phone out of my pocket. Is this a CM7 issue or is it standard on the Atrix? Funny I've never figured it out before.

I have this issue too. If anyone has an answer on how to disable this, I would love to hear it!

Hi,

So after searching on the main CM7 stable thread it seems that HDMI landscape mirroring does not work, and only seems to work in Blur-based ROMs? Is this correct and there's no fixaround.

Thanks.

Is there a way to integrate the Motoblur applications to CM7? I am not fond of task Manager (motoblur prebuilt), but it would be great if we could install many of the stock motoblur apps into CM7.

I use Smartkeyboard Pro... but I had to engage it, then uninstall the android keyboard for it to work. just don't uninstall android keyboard before you engage smartkeyboard or you got no keyboard.

Failed to boot 2\Starting RSD Mode

Ok, I am a "noob", but only to Droid and Linux Os's. Not really sure where to post this so sorry if im in the wrong place. But I am realy desperate I tried google and Yahoo ect.

I have the Atrix 4g MB860 on AT&T. dont know much else about it. I need to cut Internet\phone package to save money so a friend "rooted" my phone. However the "unknown sources" check box was not available in my settings menu(Not greyed out, just not there at all). So I was unable to install the tethering app. My friend told me to update the phone, and it should allow the option to check off that box to allow the installation of unknown sources.

I had to charge the phone to do the update and I mistakenly used my Kodak camera charger instead of the correct charger, and when I checked the phone alittle while later it was at the error "Failed to Boot 2. starting RSD mode". When I pull the battery and re-boot the phone it boots to the point where I can see my backround pic, and I can here\see texts and emails coming in but after about a minute or if I try to unlock it it re-boots and shows the failed to boot 2 error.

I know I likely will have to hard reset the phone I hang on to the hope that I may be able to get the 200+ pics and 30+ videos of my 1 year old. I am quite desperate and need a step by step if possible. I know I am a true DUMB*%#@&! Because I did not do a backup

So, older builds had a Wi-fi connection problem that was supposedly fixed. I experienced this problem on beta, and still had it on Ba2tf. I didn't do full wipes on these builds, so I just figured it would go away when I decided to full wipe...
Just yesterday, though, I did a full wipe of data using fastboot and everything, and I'm getting the wifi problem more than ever (in fact, most of the time I can't get it to connect at all and I'm stuck without being able to use any wifi whatsoever). I dunno why it would do that...but I'm suspicious that, since I had the Google sync thing that remembers stuff like wifi, passwords, etc. etc. maybe it brought my wifi connections back and that restoration of data somehow screws it up?
So, my question is, is there a way to wipe Wifi data, as I would wipe the data of any other app? I don't want to full wipe again if I don't have to...especially since it seems it didn't even work!

Also, does anyone think it's possible that a custom kernel could cause it? I usually install them right away, so I'm not sure how my phone reacts without the custom one, but I think the issue persists then...I've used clemsyn's kernel as well as faux's, and I know they're similar so maybe that's it...

Nightly vs Weekly

I apologize in advance if this has been asked or answered.

Could someone explain what is the difference between nightly and weekly. I am rocking a Motorola Atrix Unlocked Bootloader and Rooted; ROM: CyanogenMod 7 Latest stable build Ba2tF.

I have seen some people using "Weekly 4" or a ROM based off of a "Weekly". I miss the fingerprint scanner, but I am not smart enough nor clever enough to know what I am doing or even switching back and forth between ROMs.

Thank you again.

Ok, i looked around, but couldn't find anything about 'rom manager force close'. So, I wiped my phone clean using fastboot, everything except the radio.
Tried both the stable release and the weely 4 release of cm7. Both of them are giving me force closes when I try to download roms in rom manager. Rom Manager is able to flash CWM Recovery, but when I go to Download a rom, it asks me to download the latest version, and then force closes.
I have already fixed permissions. But that didn't help either.

Any work around this?

it has been discussed many times and a search might do it for you buuuuuttt

weekly: compiled "once a week" form the Atrix Dev Teams source, kept up to date by them

nightly: compiled from the Cyanogen source kept up to date by them

both are pretty similar, id stick to weeklies for the fingerprint support

Thank you for your expertise and help.

Now I just need to figure out how to flash a Weekly ROM, while keeping the Ba2tF build intact. That is what I have on the Atrix currently, and I do miss the fingerprint, I guess it is better to wait until something more stable is out there.
