My question here if there is some explanation for my Atrix 4G long time getting fixed. Sometimes it happens that the phone gets even 10 satellites but it takes alog time (some 15 minutes) to get fixed.

Is it normal or not?

My rom is Awe_so_some
Depends on where you live. I remember the Neutrino rom had an addon for GPS that the user could fine tune for their country. I'm in the states and it improved my lock on times.

This is CM7 Q&A, like the title says. The Awesome ROM has nothing to do with CM since it is fully blured. You should ask questions in the thread appropriate for your ROM.

Also, the term is "get a fix". "Getting fixed" means something completely different.

I've been trying to install CM7 following the dev thread about it here with not very good success. My phone seems to lockup when I restart it. I've downloaded the Ba2tF zip multiple times as well as going in to CWM and trying to install it. Has anyone gotten this to work?

Thanks

I just bought a Motorola Atrix for my wife. What are the advantages and disadvantages of CM7 over stock?
The only real disadvantage is that you lose the stock HDMI port functionality, like media dock and lapdock functionality. You can use HDMI mirroring, but IMHO, it's just not as good. Aside from that, anything else you lose you'll make up for with battery life, fewer random reboots, and above else, you (or your wife in this case) won't have to deal with that "unified messenger". One thing to consider, the GPS on the device does seem to make the it get hot when in use for an extended period of time (hour or more) regardless of ROM, but downloading the maps in advance does help.

HDMI Mirroring

Hi. Does Ba2tF for Atrix CM7 has HDMI mirroring? Sorry if this was previously asked, but I couldn't find "HDMI Mirroring". Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I know this question has been asked in the past but I'd like to put my question here because it's in the Q&A, and perhaps, it will be read by more people who either answer or looking for the same thing as me, 6-8 months from now

My /system folder is very cramped (after I moved some apps that can be moved, to user-app). And it has been told that with Atrix, the size of /system is just that, there is nothing you can do about it to increase it (ROM-wise, like formatting bigger).

1) However, do you know if there are tools that can: put a link in the /system folder, pointing to a location elsewhere ? Is there a "ext2sd" kind of thing ?
---------

I saw that my /data partition is 2.xx GB, and has 1.7GB free.

2) Is the "disk" that contains /data partition the same "disk" that contains /system ? (what I mean is: do they have the same "access speed").

Sorry for these rather rambling questions.
Thank you all.

**(Stock GB 2.3.6)

Apollo and wma id tags on CM7

Hi to all,
today i switched from original rom to CM7 but when i fired up the apollo to listen to some music it did not sort the wma songs with their id tags.
On original ROM default music app and apollo was sorting them with their id tags.
what is causing apollo behaviour like this ROM or anything else?
And if this can be solved could someone guide me please?
Thanks in advance

MROM wi-fi disconnected once screen go off

Hello,

tried to search in the forums if this issue raised or not and couldn't find
I recently installed MROM CM7 on my rooted Atrix 4g. must say it is very nice rom and all stuff is working great as far as i checked.
There is one issue that my Wi-Fi connection stopped and switched to cell connection every time i'm closing the screen.
i checked the options under the "Sleep policy of wi-fi" and make sure that i marked the option of "never disconnect" and also tried the other option of "never once connected".
in both cases the problem remains.
did i miss something?!

Did you do a full wipe before you flash MROM? are you also sure the connect switches to mobile data?

Can I install CM7.2 to Atrix MB860 which is neither AT&T nor 4G?

Hi,

I have a relative's Atrix MB860 (not 4G) now and have to install a newer and more stable Rom than the stock Android v2.3.4. I still use CM7.2 on my ancient Huawei Ideos X5, and know how stable it is, although quite outdated.

So i started to search how to install CM7.2 on this Atrix, but i'm confused. All the topics here are related to AT&T 4G, and i couldn't find a section for this non-4G Atrix. And also in cyanogenmod.org site, Atrix 4G is mentioned everywhere:

http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Olympus_Info

This phone was bought from a local dealer in Turkey, and used as is for more than 2 years and never updated AFAIK. Here is the information about it:

Motorola Atrix (NOT AT&T or 4G)
45.31.0.MB860.Retail.en.TR
MB860
Android 2.3.4
2.6.32.9

Is it possible to install CM7.2 to this device? If so, where should i start?

PS: I must install a stable Rom to this Atrix and give it back ASAP, so i don't have much time to research and try for the most appropriate solution.

Thanks in advance.
