Look for fruitcakesWhen I flashed CM7, I didn't backup correctly and lost the stock ROM. Is there a download to get it back? I keep seeing different downloads, but nothing that talks about my exact situation.
Thanks.

CM7 is full of optimizations. One of them consists on skipping native library extraction from APKs if the libraries have been extracted previously. Probably that only optimization is causing most of the ultra quick bootthis is going to seem like a really stupid question, but curiosity is getting the better of me so i figured i'd ask it here.
alright, prepare to flame me for being retarded, but what makes CM7 boot up so damn fast? i can't find anything anywhere that explains this phenomenon but it amazes me how fast my device boots up every single time with CM7... i honestly can't stand any other ROM because of boot times, and solely boot times >.<
NICE, can't wait!PS: newer (internal) builds have an option to disable boot animations. I heard it boots even faster then haha![]()
I saw someone with a similar bug earlier, I'm not sure if it works, but someone suggested calling it or sending it a notification to get it to wake upFirst, CM7 is awesome!
The only problem is my phone where the proximity sensor is broken and when I make a call, the screen go black and I need to pull out the battery.
Is there any temporary way to fix this "bug"? (I will repair the sensor soon)
Why would you want to, jpeg is such a limited format.Quick question...is there a way to get the built-in screenshot to save as JPEG instead of png?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
i agree, jpeg is limited, but when i try to upload my screenshots with my XDA Premium app, it won't allow me to. if i try to upload those same pictures on my laptop i can do it all day long with no issues. Why would you want to, jpeg is such a limited format.
Because you can't upload png from the xda app.Why would you want to, jpeg is such a limited format.
You dont need fruitcakes, just reflash a GB 4.5.91 SBF. as long as you dont try to flash a version prior to GB - you'll be fine.Look for fruitcakes
it's better to stay away from .sbf flashing unless you absolutely have no other option, it's too easy to brick your device with it.You dont need fruitcakes, just reflash a GB 4.5.91 SBF. as long as you dont try to flash a version prior to GB - you'll be fine.
Of course, if you don't want to wait for that, you can do it yourself via editing the build prop (system/build.prop)CM7 is full of optimizations. Did you give TiBu and ROM Manager Superuser access? (Not sure which unlock method you used; that link is bad)Can anyone advise please..I'm in the middle of trying to backup current T-mobile (2.2.2) stock ROM & then installing CM7 beta.
I followed this guide to root my T-Mobile Atrix http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
I then installed both TitaniumB & Rom Manager to test. All seemed good..
I then followed this guide to unlock the bootloader(((http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...97&postcount=1))) and again all seemed to run according to plan BUT I noticed that this process had wiped the above software off, so I installed Titanium & Rom Manager again but upon running Titanium it said it could not gain root access, is this normal ? Do I just need to root again ?
Advice would be REALLY appreciated !
John
Sorry about the link here is is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196747 it for you to have a quick glance if you dont mind. No superuser access granted AFTER the unlocking of the bootloader. I had made the assumption that as it was rooted BEFORE I unlocked the bootloader it would still be rooted after. Is this incorrect ? Would you advise running my first link again ? Thanks for answering..Did you give TiBu and ROM Manager Superuser access? (Not sure which unlock method you used; that link is bad)
I unlocked the BL using a this method (Option 1). I was still rooted after unlocking. I'm on AT&T, not Bell so I don't know if that would matter.Sorry about the link here is is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196747 it for you to have a quick glance if you dont mind. So long as you follow instructions, its fine. I've used the SBF files for AT&T with my device more times than I can count. As long as you set everything up properly and KNOW what your DOING..... you'll have no issues. People who brick are generally those who panic during long reboots and unplug too quickly or pull the battery. Fruitcakes is only for ppl who have some weird desire to go from Gingerbread back to Froyo. Any Gingerbread .sbf is safe to flash.it's better to stay away from .sbf flashing unless you absolutely have no other option, it's too easy to brick your device with it.
that's the whole reason samcripp created the fruitcakes, so people have a way to flash back to stock without risking a brick.
