I was just curious if anyone else is having any issues with new sms messages and the vibrate feature.
From the Desktop I click Menu>Settings>Sound>Vibrate>Always - I've changed it to "Only when not in Silent mode" and that didn't work either.

I'm using Cyanogen Beta.
I've gone into Settings>Profiles>Default>SMS>Vibrate mode>On
but it still doesn't vibrate when I get a SMS message. Facebook notifications vibrate all the time. Calls vibrate just not SMS or MMS

Just curious if anyone else has ran into this.

p.s. Does the HDMI output not work in Cyanogen either? I thought it was just webtop and the fingerprint reader. Just curious.

Any progress getting the webtop to work with CM7?

Cheers
I believe the guy who was delegated this task, samcripp, has been busy with life and hasn't had time to work on the port, its good to see a new work in progress though!

As for the fingerprint scanner... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-wn2SYHXc8

Turl is working on improving the RIL code (according to ibproud's twitter) and most other bugs squashed (there are hardly any, this is the most solid beta i've used for any device ever!)

Faux123 has been quite busy too, but has mentioned an issue with the OC kernel in keeping both CPU's in lock-step with each other. This is due to the unique dynamic voltage and frequency scaling of the CPU. No recent tweets about it but I can imagine this to be a very difficult bug.

You guys have done a fantastic job, and I don't mind waiting for a an update of the same caliber.

there is a 'work in progress' hack going on here >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308510
For those trying this remember that your mount points in CyanogenMod will be different than stock. Internal SD card is mounted as /mnt/emcc and the external SD card is mounted at /mnt/sdcard .

While currently it is still in the experimental stage, I can see where this approach might cause issues when connecting the usb cable to a computer. Wouldn't it be better to split the internal SD card into 2 partitions, and mounting one as /osh and the other as the internal sdcard? This way the /osh partition won't get unmounted when the usb cable is connected, and maybe the lapdock too, depending on how USB mounting is handled.

anubody having bluetooth issues?
What kind of bluetooth issues are you having specifically? I have noted that on rare occasions when i walk out of the range of my headset that it can sometimes have trouble pairing back up without turning bluetooth off and power cycling the headset. Also rarely the headset control to end a call does not work, so i have to watch the things i say after i think ive hung up :p

Also I have noticed without rhyme or reason that WiFi will shut itself off. Not sure what causes this as I haven't isolated the issue. Are there others experiencing similar behavior?

Thanks for any help - just not sure which direction to take here.
I have googled and searched XDA and just can't get an answer to this:

I want to get back to Stock Telstra 2.2 on my Telstra MB860 and then ota to Telstra's Gingerbread just released.

Currently on CM7. On my internal card I have the folder /mnt/emmc/clockworkmod/backup/telstra_2.2_rom It contains 7 files:

.android_secure.vfat.tar
boot.img
cache.ext3.tar
data.ext3.tar
nandroid.md5
recovery.img
system.img
system.ext3.tar

I am wondering whether I should do:
1. Use CWM and restore that backup, or
2. Get the Telstra 2.2 sbf from the Atrix Firmwares Superthread and flash it it using RSD Lite, or
3. Flash the Telstra gingerbread sbf which is available on XDA, or
4. any other method.

Would really appreciate some help people of wisdom.

Using the restore from your cwm backup will be faster, and if that doesn't work, you can always try the sbf method after. Just make absolutely sure your battery is fully charged if you do the sfb method as it takes a long time and despite your phone being plugged in, it won't be charging. I did this a couple days ago to get my /osh partition back after wiping it, and it drained about 70% of the battery in the process. Also, with sfb method your bootloader probably won't be unlocked nor will you have root access.

There you go, your first thanks :)

I was unsure of stuffing the phone using the cwm backup/restore as I thought maybe the unlocking process or cm7 flash had changed partition and memory and the restored Telstra rom backup would just crash. What do you think?

Flashing through cwm wouldn't change partition sizes, that stuff is held at a lower level (some phones have certain ways to access this but not the atrix afaik; you wouldn't do it by accident anyway). The point of a nandroid is that it backs up everything so you should be fine to restore as you please.
