after flashing cm7 i had to reflash romracers recovery all good and fine it works perfect but my question is now from rom manager i cant boot into recovery i have to hold power and the down button anyone know why?

Did you delete (or archive) a file in /system/etc named install-recovery.sh? If not, that will give you problems.

Since installing the ¬B^¬N build (released 10/25/11) I've been having an issue with the screen timing out while in the car dock. The standard dock will stay lit up indefinitely, but on two different car docks the screen times out after the designated non-docked time. The issue was not present in the Beta release of CM7. (The phone stayed awake in both docks.)

Apps such as StayAwake and Coffee resolve the issue quite handily (both tested), but I have to wonder if anyone else has had this issue. At the very least I hope the devs see this and/or are aware of it already.


For those wondering, dock audio is still a no-go. Bluetooth and the aux port work fine however.

Funny thing happened! Have 2 Arix: one that i do my experiences and the other is totally stock, never done anything to him.

Put CM7 in the experience one with full battery. Used a lot for hours and get battery info that was with 57%. Took out the battery and insert in the stock one and get battery info and for my surprised it was showing 80% if the almost full indicator.

Didnt understand nothing.

Something I just noticed...I've been using the beta for a while and hadn't noticed this until now. But it seems the number of steps for certain volumes has decreased. For instance, I have a widget that lets me adjust Ringer, Notification, Media, Alarm, Voice Call and System volumes. Before CM, all 6 of these had levels of 0-15. Now, they go from 0-7 (one of them just goes from 0-5). Is this just a CM thing? I kind of liked the fine control I had, but if it can't be done in CM that's cool, not really a big problem

Anyone experiencing data connectivity issues with the latest CM7 release?

After reboot I have connection for about 1 minute then it goes away. I have all the latest APN's. I have reinstalled latest radio. I factory wiped reset - reinstalled. Nothing is working. This was occurring on the stock kernel with CM7 and still occuring with Faux's new kernel 1.45ghz (don't think that had anything to do with it just providing info)

The H icon is still present then turns white then disappears.

Ugh I read about this problem before but never occurred to me until now.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I went back to GB and data connectivity issue was fixed. I reinstalled the new CM7 and it came back. the problem is not present in CM7 Beta 4

if you go into the settings on your messaging app, there is a box to set a black background. hope that helps

Thanks, forgot that option was there. It does help a little. I do like the white background with black text better, but I guess there isn't any other option for the stock app.

Has anyone noticed the ugly flicker of different brightnesses(?) when using auto brightness? I had my levels edited very nicely when using auto brightness with first Beta and they would transition very nicely depending on lux reading. Now when auto brightness is on there is no blending in the levels, it just steps up/down as a flicker.

I use it almost daily and hate to lose the functionality, but REALLY want to change to CM7.1

Another thing I've been wondering about...In the attached image, when I have that setting set to "On", nothing happens...shouldn't the toggles vibrate when pressed? Maybe I'm missing what it really does...

I am having the same issue with my car dock timing out. Worked great on beta, now it doesn't. Still a great release and those apps are a good work around.

Nope. Most likely never will. "Entertainment center" is a function of Blur.

Lockscreen/Calendar widget

Has anyone tried enabling the calendar widget for the lockscreen? My events show up, but some info is wrong. With only 1 calendar enabled, my next event is for today (Thursday) at 5:30pm but the widget displays:

Mon 5:30 PM Take Pill

I enabled all 3 of my calendars to see if the others were off. On a different calendar my next event is an "all day" event for Friday, but display now reads:

Thu 5:00 PM Day 7

My "Take Pill" entry for today disappears completely. I'm using faux's enhanced kernel, so I was wondering if this same issue was popping up with the stock kernel that came with the latest CM7?

I didn't want to have to reflash so I was hoping someone would be kind enough to try it out and reply. Thanks

*Edit* Btw, I found this, but nothing on the atrix-dev page.
*Edit2* NM, I thought I fixed it but the day and times keep showing the wrong info after resyncing and switching between calendars.

I am running the latest cm7. When I connect my phone to my windows xp computer and enable storage, I can only see the internal (eemc) files. I want to access my sd card so I can transfer files and back up the card. I have debugging and storage on and my computer sees the device, but I can't access the sd card. Anybody know how to do this?

Dude, try change storage settings:

Menu -Settings - CyanogemMod settings -Application and check "Use internal storage". Reboot phone and see if it works.

Turns out it is computer specific as other computers see both drives. The problem occurred because it was trying to map the sd card to my F: drive which was being held for something else so I went into disk management on computer and changed it from F: drive to M: drive and now I see both.

It also appears that wifi sleep profiles aren't working. I've been seeing a slightly faster battery drain than usual, and figured the battery/phone was still calibrating. I've been noticing though that the wifi isn't sleeping as it should given the options set.

If I ping the phone's IP randomly, and several minutes apart, I get consistent replies. I also have been connected whenever I wake up the phone. The behavior is the same when the wifi policy is set to never sleep when not plugged in, or to sleep when the screen is turned off.

I'll try killing wifi and seeing if that has any effect on battery life. If wifi is staying on and draining, perhaps Locale, Tasker or something similar could be used to turn wifi on and off at the desired times (as a work around).

Go Aura or Alien and install the faux123 kernel, you won't get CM7 features or AOSP look but its around as good as you're gonna get if you want to keep the moto features (and by implication parts of motoblur)
