Looks like the developement thread of our CM9 is all messed up as noobs filled the thread with ETA's and questions.

DEVELOPEMENT THREAD- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449649

I've created this thread for general suggestions and questions and answers.people can put the useful links(for developement) over here(by links i mean any updates in the drivers or anything else for the developement not just anything you found on the internet :p )

You still aren't allowed to ask for ETA's in either of the thread.this is just for questions and answers and NON-DEVELOPEMENTAL talks.

KNOWN ISSUES:

1. WIFI doesn't work perfectly. You will not be able to see any networks when you first turn it on. Add a fake network manually and the wifi networks will show up. Also, network strength doesn't work properly.
2. There is LAG in the UI due to lack of Hardware Composer. Waiting for drivers from TI.
3. Mass Storage won't work for now. It requires 3.0 Kernel to support the framework changes in ICS for UMS. To copy files to the device, use http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1389375 or mount the Mass Storage in Recovery Mode.
4. Backlight button doesn't work when Autobrightness is turned off.
5. Microphone doesn't record properly (Regression in Alpha 4).
6. Camera Force Closes sometimes while capturing the image.
7. Front Facing camera is stretched and is Mirrored at times.
8. Few third party Camera applications are incompatible. (They get stuck)

What Doesn't Work

Video Recording
Media Playback H/W Support
USB Mass Storage Support

How To Install

CM9 converts filesystem to ext4 because of which your internal SD card will be formatted while flashing.so make a backup of your files on your PC before flashing.

flashing CM9 doesn't require any specific official update(like kpu or anything else). It requires rooted phone along with a CWM app.you can flash CM9 from any official GINGERBREAD update(like kpu,kpq,kp3 etc...) AS LONG AS IT IS ROOTED AND HAS A WORKING CWM APP

Stock Rom
1. Flash CWM Compatible Kernel (CF ROOT)
2. Reboot to Recovery.
3. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
4. Go to Advanced -> Reboot Recovery.
5. After the Recovery restarts, Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
6. Mounts and Storage -> Format dbdata
7. Flash Google Apps.
8. Reboot

Any other AOSP ROM (CM7/MIUI)
1. Reboot to Recovery.
2. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
3. Go to Advanced -> Reboot Recovery.
4. After the Recovery restarts, Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
6. Mounts and Storage -> Format dbdata
7. Flash Google Apps.
8. Reboot

Upgrading from previous versions of CM9
1. Reboot to Recovery.
2. Select the ROM zip from your SD Card and flash.
3. Flash Google Apps.
4. Reboot

Please, people pay attention here. We all would kill the people that chat in the thread, but we are in different countries. No, seriously, if a noob say a question like, when is the release? or... did you fix video? don't reply in the thread, because doing that you only make the thread more and more unuseful for the developer. When somebody say something like that please kick your brother / wall or whatever but please DON'T REPLY!

I second that. Replying to such posts only stretches OT posts.
