I always do a clean installation. Always format my Data. Then Format every thing else. So no question about bad installation or substratum overlays. I downloaded every thing fresh for flashing. Stayed without Magisk and Substratum. I did not even restore my Titanium backup.

But Alas!

I know, Phoenix is a great Rom. But some how, it has not been working for me, after my initial tryst with it. I have been on LR for sometime now. In between, tried out Omni.
Well, if things are not working for you but are working for others then

Recently, I have been facing a some issues with Phoenix. Black Screen after reboot.
The finger sensor is not working most of the times for me in the latest (Codename-Phoenix-NOS-8.1-oneplus5t-20180125)

So, I moved on to Liquid Remix. It is rock solid. (liquid_remix-9.0.1-20180123-OFFICIAL-V2-dumpling)
So is Omni. Has a advantage of updating from within the Rom. Had updated to a latest weekly. (omni-8.1.0-20180122-oneplus5t-WEEKLY)

Both have been great for me. Not one issue. Both support encryption. Less features, but more Robust.

I'm using the OnePlus 5. I came from OOS OB3 encrypted. had to flash ROM, GAPPS, and dirty flash ROM again because face unlock wasn't working. After that face unlock works.

Did you flash the Firmware/Modem linked in the telegram channel meant for the 5T before flashing the ROM?

I don't have any fingerprint issues nor the black screens after reboot so far. It's been stable for me since I first flashed the 19-1 build, and today the 25-1 build.

So here is an interesting issue. I have enabled Wi-Fi calling, yet it never really seems to work unless I turn on airplane mode and then turn on Wi-Fi. I then am able to make a call and the screen will show Wi-Fi calling active. I do have VoLTE enabled as well, yet having Wi-Fi calling enabled doesn't seem to be taking priority over VoLTE unless I have airplane mode enabled.

Anyone been able to make a WiFi call without being on airplane mode?

You've said this before and its a bit insulting. If you follow installation instructions provided to a T and still experience problems, its NOT your installation. Especially when you do it multiple times just to make sure it wasn't something you did incorrectly or out of order.

I said I would say no more in this thread after I got blasted for saying the ROM was laggy and stuttered and you blamed my installation but you can't sit there and discredit those that experience issues as not knowing how to correctly flash ROMs.

Is anyone able to get YouTube to play in 18:9 aspect ratio? In stock oos I was able to just pinch to zoom but it doesn't work on this rom. Using latest YouTube btw, ver 13.01.53

Works for me. I'm on the 1-19 build though.

Have you had any chance to compare camera quality between these three ROMs? Phoenix seemed quite good when I used it but now I'm back on Nougat 4.7.6.....and actually loving it.. The itch to flash something new is there so it's just a matter of time. Phoenix again or are Omni/LR cameras onpair ?
Now prophotographer but a flashaholic who owns a rig with a decent camera for the first time.

I always use the gcam aranova 1.4. But the camera on Phoenix .25 is quite decent too.

I have been flashing last 3 builds of this rom and i haven't encountered a single stutter or lag apart from using camera..camera is a bit buggy for sure but things r improving with each build and m sure camera too will be lag free in future builds..apart from that if you are facing any lag or stutter in general usage then surely there is some problem with the installation

Is there a new update? On telegram it's 15.4?

Given the devs track record an update should probably be out sometime this week or the next at the latest, just my guestimate.

    Is CNP dead?

Nah, it's just in a good hibernation period . I don't know, no updates for a month now.

Do you guys think if there's still hope for an update of this ROM? It's been a month... Hopefully it's not dead:(

Wish there was a way to know if there will be an update!

The ROM is not dead. I had a word with siankatabg and he told me that he's already worked on a new build that he's running at the moment. The only issue is that he doesn't really have free time for anything these days, but he'll do another release before he goes for vacation next week. :) Cheers!
