Did it ever occur to you to just flash magisk after the first boot?
I mean it's only been discussed in this thread about 40 times.
Don't blame the ROM because you don't understand how to flash it correctly.
Do not worry, I have indeed tried that, but seeing that I am the only one reporting this I will try flash the rc again today

How? Just installed the app... Don't use any magisk module or fix for camera... It should work... In case you have a black screen when you open the app for the first time, just open another camera app and you are good to go...

Which GCAM version are you using and also which Oneplus camera version are you using? Also, have you checked in Slowmotion works in both camera apps?

Anyone have a dolby module that works w/ this ROM?
I use ARISE Magnum Opus 20171114 Black Red with this fix (download from the link, flash in TWRP). Works flawlessly (Dolby Digital+ and Viper) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z3-078E1xqcFvdz3kySjHMzU74YFu11k/view?usp=drivesdk
You can find a full guide at the ARISE thread. If you will still have a problem with configuring the ARISE's installation file write a PM to me, I can help you ;)

For GCam try the Arnova 1.4. Any OP camera will work here, you can take the latest. Slowmo works only with the OP cam

Which versions are you using? For me gcam stopped working on latest build.
Latest update of the ROM doesn't affect GCam. Although it took a while to open properly after the first boot post flashing

Thank you, any specific settings for GCam to function properly?

With 1.4 you can use many configs, here is mine:
Pixel 2017 HDR, Pixel XL, Very High, HDR control icon enabled. In the very low light environment without the flash this config will take very dark photo but you can simply enable Enhanced HDR mode for a while and problem is solved. It's still the best config available because it won't overexposure photos in stronger daylight and it's very stable, reliable. For proof I attach today's lowlight photo (taken at night with Enhanced) :)

As far as the OP camera goes, I've had the best luck w/ this magisk module:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/themes/mod-oneplus-camera-jpg-quality-to-100-t3714595/

You still have to open another camera app to get rid of the black screen the first time, but, after that, it's bug free (so far as I can tell), and is my dd camera

I made this flashable that installs the GCam Mod as a system app. For me it reduces the shutter delay, and the cam just behaves better.

@Pshemo_ has his set up very similar to mine.

Anyone having some sleep issues?

See screen shot
I had them once, occurred after dirty flashing when I used custom kernel (Blu) on the previous update - if repaired it by wiping system, dalvik and cache and then flashing ROM + Gapps + no verity. Boot once without changing kernel to see if it helped

I agree. I've had troubles with deep sleep with Blu as well for his last few updates. Use flash kernel and it sleeps like a baby.

Is there a new update? On telegram it's 15.4?

Given the devs track record an update should probably be out sometime this week or the next at the latest, just my guestimate.

    Is CNP dead?

Nah, it's just in a good hibernation period . I don't know, no updates for a month now.

Do you guys think if there's still hope for an update of this ROM? It's been a month... Hopefully it's not dead:(

Wish there was a way to know if there will be an update!

The ROM is not dead. I had a word with siankatabg and he told me that he's already worked on a new build that he's running at the moment. The only issue is that he doesn't really have free time for anything these days, but he'll do another release before he goes for vacation next week. :) Cheers!
