Have you flashed and enabled the right magisk module?
Have you switched to portrait mode on main camera and then switch to front/selfie cam?

Yes I use "viper4android fx materialized" via magisk

Can you give me the link to the v4a you mentioned?

And did you say normal selfie cam doesn't work? I don't see the point of having it if you have to use portrait mode for it to work

Search viper on magisk modules and you can download it straight from there.

Regarding selfie cam, I rarely use it and so I guess it's just personal preference. I had a previous setup where hdr and portrait worked for main and selfie cam, but no touch to focus. So for me I'd rather have this setup with the focus ability and sacrifice selfie hdr.

No, I use the built-in Flash kernel, which is awesome. Haven't touched the settings in any way. Some time back my 5T ran for 92 hours on one charge and gave me over 8 hours of SOT during that time. All on mobile data, everything always on, no gimmicks a la Greenify etc.
This is amazing
I think you don't have Facebook or any app for social media

You're right, I don't use Facebook. But I have these apps that are always on and syncing 24/7 over mobile data: WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter, Hangouts, Google+ (and all the other usual Google stuff like Gmail etc.). So it's not like I don't have/use anything

This apk:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/...oogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V6-Beta15.apk

With the magisk module:
OP5-5T_Potrait_workaround.zip

With the attached screenshot of settings.

Working:
Main cam = hdr + portrait shots
Selfie cam = portrait shots (switch to portrait mode first and then switch to selfie cam)
Touch to focus
Panoramic shot (taking and viewing)
Photosphere (taking and viewing)
Video (30fps bit jerky, 60fps smooth)

Not working:
Selfie cam normal (non portrait) - black screen upon switching
Selfie cam HDR (non portrait) - black screen upon switching
Slow motion (crashes)

I don't. You format data?

Instructions for going from 8.0 to an 8.1 custom ROM:
1) Make sure you have the unified TWRP by @codeworkz
2) Back up storage- pc or flash drive
3) wipe everything AND format data after
4) copy the ROM and Gapps onto storage, and flash them in that order.
5) Let the ROM optimize then boot.
6) Go back to recovery, flash magisk 15.3, and copy your back up from step 2 back on to internal storage. Reboot and set up.

Be advised- You can not simply restore back-ups and go back and forth between 8.0 and 8.1

By wipe everything do you mean a Full Wipe? and what do you mean by let the ROM optimize?

Yes Full wipe- Then Format data. When you flash a ROM you will notice that the first boot takes longer than subsequent boots. That is why. The ROM optimizes on first boot, and each time after you wipe caches.

Flashing some magisk module won't let the os boot. I get stuck on oneplus logo if I flash app systemizer or busybox. Also AKT, Anybody else?
Some like the busybox one will cause that. In the case of the busybox module it needs the xbin folder which is missing on this ROM, needs to be created manually, which defeats the purpose of "systemless" stuff

Is there a new update? On telegram it's 15.4?

Given the devs track record an update should probably be out sometime this week or the next at the latest, just my guestimate.

    Is CNP dead?

Nah, it's just in a good hibernation period . I don't know, no updates for a month now.

Do you guys think if there's still hope for an update of this ROM? It's been a month... Hopefully it's not dead:(

Wish there was a way to know if there will be an update!

The ROM is not dead. I had a word with siankatabg and he told me that he's already worked on a new build that he's running at the moment. The only issue is that he doesn't really have free time for anything these days, but he'll do another release before he goes for vacation next week. :) Cheers!
