where can i find 9270? is it api23? do you have any instructions on how to switch from api23(android6) to api27(android8.1)? does the MCU have to be min. 3.5 or 4.0? all other versions of android9,10,11 are fake. follow the api. Otherwise, if I didn't have sound, I put the DSP app in the system and there was sound. But I have a DSP board, but only Android sounds and mp3. I'm at work right now, I don't have much time to tell you everything I know right now. you have e.g. 9270 7.3.7 firmware on http://file.xygala.com server.
I think that maybe you could change the rds setting permanently in the build.prop file, not sure. I'll check it out when I get home from work.
I have a preloader suitable for api23 android 6(fake8.1/8.1go) and a second preloader suitable for api27 android 8.1(fake9.1/10.1/11) that work with my 9216.

- firmware: 9270(00019-v001)_10.0_7.3.7 but i dont remeber if it support dsp.
- I posted my stock preloader file working with api27 here: rom-firmware-brick-recovery-for-7-android-head-unit-ac8227l-yt9217-yt9218-1-16gb
If 9270 doesnt help you, try this preloader with firmwares dedicated for 9218 xyauto but with the newest releases like at least 9.1 that you can find it on xyauto server. I see that they mentioned that 9260 is compatible with 9218.
I think 9218 may get 10.1 with 7.3.7 update soon, because a lot of folders with old firmware are empty.

In case this preloader isnt suitable with your motherboard, You know how to revive your HU.

Mainly i would try with the firmwares for your model from the catalogs as in the screenshot

friend. Thank you. your preloader works on api27 for me. Run firmware 9270, everything works, looks great. Unfortunately, I have problems with the sound. Crackling sound even when the dsp app is implemented there. I'll try to update the old mcu3.1 to mcu4.0 and try 9270 again. If that doesn't help, I'll try 9260 (compatible with 9218dh) and let you know. I don't know when I will write, there is little time and a lot of work

What exactly do you not understand?
you have to open the device, find the test points, in sp flashtool select format/auto format flash-enter start, short the test points (best to connect with tweezers) and connect usb. if there is another board, it is possible to turn on the power supply of the device. when the format is done, you can upload a new firmware or a backup

The problem is that 8229 motherboard use energy, and the people which use it, they told me that I must use Flashtool, select start (format all+download) connect USB to PC, test point (only one) with a cable into ground and to test point, but I don't get working. I show one image

it is possible that you have to connect one test point (+) to the ground (-), the contact must be good. The ground can also be - on the power supply. I have no experience with this. one end of the cable to the test point and the other end of the same cable to (-) ground.. the ground can be the chassis of the device, if the board is powered, it is also (-) on the power supply. or anything that is connected to the metal casing of the device. for example, the power supply is + and -.......+ 12v -ground. I can't explain it better

It is not my lnk, I found it on net, try searching by device name. Use term ZXDZ for search.

Does anyone have the latest firmware for this YT9218DL unit? It is working extremely slow and I doubt if it is the android 8.1 version.

As i see https://file.xygala.com (login:xyauto pass:123456) has YT218DL firmware on server with 8.1Go (wich is 6.0) and 9.1(wich is8.1).

The thing is that the firmware for 18DL model is pretty outdated, (Lastest releases v5.3/v6.2 from 2020r)
while other models have more current updates, (lastest v7.3.7 from December 2022) not mention newest 'fake 10 android release wich still is 8.1
