[COLLECTION] RUU Nougat & Marshmallow - HTC One A9

hello folks,

i bought a brand new HTC A9 from ebay, its ATT unlocked device. Been searching and doing attempts to upgrade to Nougat but with no luck. Also from the box, its 1.57.617.52 and when connected it want download an update 1.57.617.60 and once done it says We found different variant of software so we cant upgrade.
I guess i need a stock firmware for 1.57.617.52 or? and then upgrade to Nougat as from the thread i need new firmware first. Tried few versions and still no succesfull flash. Always got an error.

Can someone advise or post firmware that will work? SOme of the old links are down.. many thanks

Update : It was my fault, should read more after first post, rename the file as explained and carry on.

Not sure why as I don't own the A9 and never tried to flash anything on this phone yet. I guess you already checked the md5 (if available) and that your ext sd is fat32? Otherwise I would try to flash it using fastboot or htc's version of fastboot since it looks like newer RUU can only be flashed with htc's fastboot (at least this is true for the M7 (7.xx.xxx.x ruu) don't know for other models...)

How to flash ruu or firmware??

Rename the downloaded file (RUU or firmware it doesn't matter) to "2PQ9IMG.zip" , copy it to root of your SD card and reboot your device to Download Mode. Wait for the magic lul.
Why don't you try to read full post before asking
