hello folks,

i bought a brand new HTC A9 from ebay, its ATT unlocked device. Been searching and doing attempts to upgrade to Nougat but with no luck. Also from the box, its 1.57.617.52 and when connected it want download an update 1.57.617.60 and once done it says We found different variant of software so we cant upgrade.
I guess i need a stock firmware for 1.57.617.52 or? and then upgrade to Nougat as from the thread i need new firmware first. Tried few versions and still no succesfull flash. Always got an error.

Can someone advise or post firmware that will work? SOme of the old links are down.. many thanks

Invalid ZIP File Format

I can't Install it. I am receiving Invalid ZIP File Format

Update : It was my fault, should read more after first post, rename the file as explained and carry on.

Not sure why as I don't own the A9 and never tried to flash anything on this phone yet. I guess you already checked the md5 (if available) and that your ext sd is fat32? Otherwise I would try to flash it using fastboot or htc's version of fastboot since it looks like newer RUU can only be flashed with htc's fastboot (at least this is true for the M7 (7.xx.xxx.x ruu) don't know for other models...)

My phones is stuck at "White screen of death" after flashing the firmware.
i have tried the process of upgrading my device severally but it gets stuck at 56% when running the 2.18.651.2 RUU.exe from my windows PC.
i also tried copying the rom.zip from my PC "temp folder", renamed it to "2PQ9IMG.zip", copied it to SD-Card root-directory and then went to "download mode". the process will run and fail on "image 12".
My phone is not booting pass the HTC logo screen now. I need help to fix this please.

2.16.401.3 RUU

This version, despite being an official & signed ruu, never was released by HTC for consumer use, it was a pre-release version (thanks to @Didusieq for sharing the info here. 2.17.401.2 is the released version. Ppl on 2.16.401.3 will not be able to OTA update to 2.17.401.2. You'll have to revert back to 1.56.401.70 to get OTA to 2.17.401.2 or wait for a 2.17.401.2 RUU.

i was able to use the update but now my phone can't connect to 4g network again. it's always on 2g

Edit:
I've tried changing the CID and MID to HUL version and updated with the corresponding files accordingly. It flashed it but there is not mobile network after the update process (Wi-Fi works though).

hi,
how where able to upgrade it to Nougat?
I did but the phone now has mobile network connectivity issue (or no network at all with other Roms). Were you have good network reception when you installed the Nougat update?

Hello, I have a problem with my HTC One A9 and I hope you can help me, it turns out that I live in Cuba and my HTC belonged to the AT&T company but they unlocked it for my country, the line and coverage work perfect but it only connects by data to the 2G, and the HTC if it has the frequencies of my country that are 900MHz in 3G and 1800MHz in 4G, how could I unblock those bands? oh and if you know any ROM with android 10 or 11 do you think you could provide me with the link? Thank you

Hello there,

Am I the only guy who can't download any ROM on those Android File Host website ?

Each time I try to find a mirror, I get this message : no mirrors found.

I badly need HTC__247 firmware ! :s

We will probably see a Sprint RUU, the sprint RUU are normally posted on HTC's website but none for the A9 yet.

I have an A9u orange fr I can't seem to find the ruu or hboot any help will be greatly appreciated
