Oppo software support is awful... Even Xiaomi delivers monthly security updates...
And I have march security patch on my oppo flagship.
This is my first and probably my last oppo phone.

I miss the old oneplus when oplus didn't lock custom roms. Gave enthusiasts to update on their own even after support dwindled. OPPO didn't like that & it's insulting that these companies say they care about the environment with their recycled materials sh#t when clearly they're are the ones filling the landfills due to planned obsolescence.

My next phone will be Google just waiting for them to improve the slow charging sh#t until then

Or Nothing phone when they come up with a curved display & body like oneplus 8 curverture not ugly iphoneny look

Stuck with OPPO for now

Sometimes it pays to wait and install a debugged update

Pixel 6 battery drain a problem after May 2023 update. Sometimes heats up (warmer than prior to May 2023 update) when using.

Is that normal policy for oppo switching a one year old flagship phone to quarterly updates or would you rather say that due to the lawsuit from Nokia they just suspended everything, despite saying software support would continue?

I can't remember the last time I was stuck on a security patch older then 2 months.
Right now it still does not show an update.
And also no way of updating ourselves.

This is kinda sad I was considering importing the find x6 pro

European phone without branding.

I don't think it has any connection with the lawsuit as long as some users even from Europe got the 13.1 update.
I have no idea why won't they release the update for everyone, but it's really annoying and sad at the same time.
I was planning to keep the phone for at least 3 years and this is why I choose oppo last year (they promised 3 updated versions of android).
But if we don't get monthly security updates what's the point of buying the flagship model and paying 1.300 euros for the phone?
I ran away from Samsung because of the exynos, but now as they use snapdragon for the S series, I'm thinking going back to them. Also samsung delivers 4 years of android update since the S23 series.

I have one advice for you, write to Oppo support,
something like, can you check what is the latest software for my phone?, and at the same time ask them if they can prioritize your IMEI in the update queue, I did it both with my X3 Pro and now with my X5 Pro and I get the updates first, sometimes you need to do it more than once before they push you in line.

I don't understand one thing OxygenOS (13.1) you can download from the web so why not ColorOS (13.1)

My Oppo

X3 Pro 13.1
X5 Pro 13.1

I'm thinking about what I'll get if Oppo doesn't make a global version of flagship.

I don't want to go back to Apple or Samsung

I tried several countries with vpn, still no luck.., one day update will arrive I hope.. 😉

Thank you for contacting OPPO!

We understand that you are interested in the ColorOS update for your Find X5.

In order to proceed with the update to color OS 13.1 please follow the steps below:

1) Please, go to Settings Open App Section > App Management > Find Software Update Application and Allow and Give All Notifications Permissions.

2) Please, check if there are any available updates. To do that please access:
[Settings] > [Software Update]. If there are new updates available, please connect to the internet and allow the phone to update to the latest software.

3) Please, clear update cache. To do that access:
Settings >Apps > App Management > Tap on the 2 dots on the top right > Show system > Select the Software Update app > Storage Usage > Clear Cache

At least you've got an answer. I wrote to them yesterday, and still no answer.
Ps: tried what they told you and still no update.

Regarding your inquiry, it is possible that the version of ColorOS 13.1 is not fully stable for all OPPO models.

On that note, we would kindly advise you to wait until a stable version is available for Find X5 Model.

    This is a staged rollout, so not all devices will get the new update at the same time, even if you are in the following regions using the mentioned devices. We are starting with a small number of devices and we'll begin a broader rollout later.

    I have been testing the Public beta of 13 and I like it a lot.
    I can't use Google wallet at the moment, but I don't currently need too

    How much have you liked it so far? I am liking the large folder feature. I compared it to Miui, OOS, One UI, and iOS, and it is unique to ColorOS 13. I love it.
    That's cool to know! I like using large folders for all the Google-related apps, gaming apps, and all apps related to work. You can swipe on the folder itself and see all apps that are in there without opening the folder.
