Composite cable

I am wanting to connect my pt-1010 to my tv but only composite cable i can find on ebay is for the pt1000 would they still work on my wifi only uk tab running latest froyo thanks in aadvance

Stop being an ass... Did you READ THE OP? The question is does that cable work with the 1010, its listed for the 1000... Nothing in that ad suggests that it works w/ the 1010...

Does this cable show anything that is on the Tab, i.e. the desktop, or just the video apps output.

I would like it to replicate what is on the tabs screen all the time.

It mirrors anything on the tab screen. beware tho, its hit and miss if the cable will work.on my tab its black and white and very in clear, not sure if its the cable, my tab, my tv or a combo of the 3

Sounds like you have it plugged into the wrong ports on your TV. These are composite cables (Red/White/Yellow) and if you plug them into a COMPONENT (Red/Blue/Green) connection, you'll get this.

Reason: Composite cable has Red/White = Audio and Yellow = Video. Composite throws all the colors over the Yellow connector but COMPONENT separates out the Red, Blue, and Green colors. So if you plug the Yellow into any of the wrong connections, you'll get just a black and white image and no audio (component inputs only accept video, so sound is ignored).

So, finally from what I have read here, there is no certainty yet on whether the A/V Composite cable would or wouldn't work for the GT-P1010! :-/

You need Samsung's own cradle. There is minihdmi back. Works great!

Hi guys, I have a p1010, I bouth a composite cable for it from ebay. I tested it and doesn't send the image, if I connect the video (yellow) cable from the cable tv decoder instead of the one coming from the p1010 I can hear the sound from the tablet in the TV. If I connect the yellow cable from the tablet there is no sound nor image. I though it was broken so I ordered another one from another seller, just got it and got the same result.
Any ideas?

Yes it does work with p1000 but not with p1010!
