Hello,

Why do you want to update it, something is not working? If everything works for you, then leave it as it is. Sometimes an update will bring more problems than good. PX30, 2gb of ram is not enough nowadays, the demands of applications on memory and processor are still increasing. You will speed it up a bit if you put it in factory settings, but not for long, it will slow down again over time. If you insist on the update, here is the MCU update, first make a backup of the factory settings, in case of problems with the dmcu.cfg file, you will restore everything to its original state. Factory settings/123/ Export/ save the dmcu.cfg file to external storage:
And here is the firmware update, the choice is yours. The date is in brackets, you can try the latest hct4_px30_9.0_ota(20200507) is from 7/5/2020:
Or try Hal9k mod 4, it has more settings and is a bit faster, read more in the thread:
You can also upgrade it to android 10, but that's more complicated, you can find all the information here:
Or you can replace the processor board, but the bluetooth may not work, in which case the bluetooth module must also be replaced.

You can try to update it, but if the problem is in the hardware, then the update won't help. Sometimes overheating is the cause. Install CPU/GPU Meter and check if it is overheating. If so, put new paste under the radiator. Or add another cooler, passive or active, see Alex's videos. It can be more things, but that's already a job for an electromechanic.

I have XTRONS head unit with RK3566 Android 11 and MCU HCTGQ_HKZ_v3.87_1.. I would like to downgrade the MCU to MTCE_HKZ_V2.94b. Can you tell me if it is possible? Because I am having issue with the SWC, I cannot set the switch forward track and mode others are working fine except for these two buttons. Anyways, in my other XTRONS head unit (Android 10) this SWC does not have issue everything is working.

Hope to here from you soon guys, thanks in advance.
